I dont know if this has been referenced on here before but I havent seen it. Showtime has a 4 episode "mini series" about sports betting and they feature Vegas Dave, a lot. And his parents. He comes off so comically bad and sad that I actually almost felt bad for him by the end.

It also features Kelly In Vegas, that Krackenbomger guy (who works with warren sharpe to manipualte NFL totals on pinny. They show them do it, it was pretty cool actually), Todd Furhman and Clay Travis are on it, Teddy Covers, a bunch of other people. Literally basically everyone from gambling twitter who has me blocked and probably a bunch of you guys too. lol it was honestly surreal watching it. Heres my breakdown, as I have many thoughts...

First and foremost, Vegas Dave. Holy ****ing ****. He lives with his parents, his parents admitted to giving him OVER A MILLION DOLLARS since he was a kid to bail him out from gambling debts. They sent him to GA and he hated it "cuz he wasnt one of those people." They admit to loaning HIM THE 700K HE USED TO MAKE HIS FAMOUS KC ROYALS BET. He is never seen with a single friend or girl. He goes out to eat twice all dressed up to nice places, alone. He says his parents prob think hes gay cuz hes never brought home a girl, and he says "when I made it my social circle went from 50 to 5, and 3 of those are my mom dad and dog."

The doc starts off sort of just exploring him but they very obviously take a side by the end. They show him walking out his house after losing a brutal "lock of the year" and put up a ton of tweets calling him a fraud and scammer.

Honestly, it would be hard to come off any worse than he did in this. I was literally laughing out loud watching, if you know of him at all you need to watch this.

Kelly in Vegas comes off pretty good actually. It made me feel a little bad from going at her on twitter but she used to give just awwwwful advice. She seems like a cool girl though just grinding through life. And her boobs are great. I wish her well...but Kelly. Stop trying to beat NFL sides!

The guy that comes off as the absolute best and a terrific example of a real deal pro to me was Krackenbomb. Ive heard of him before I think but didnt know a thing about him. He just cruises around from casino to casino getting the best lines and has warren sharp (the guy on twitter) making a model and giving him plays. He also has another guy who just reads local papers and gets good injury info. He never watches the games and just seems like a good dude. They show them loving an over that pinny had 50. He goes and bets small on the under and right there they show pinny move to 49. Then he hammers over 49.

There was a bunch of other random stuff that you can skip and I have one more ep to go. But I think people on here would love it if you havent seen it already.

i haven't seen it either and i'm a sucker for all forms gambling content so maybe i'll check it out although i don't even subscribe to cable tv so i'd have to search for it online and probably not worth the effort.

i know a lot of people gave the show a hard time prior to airing because it featured vegas dave and now i guess they don't mind as much since he comes off so poorly.

the highs and lows of gambling make for great reality tv drama but the reality of staring at a don best screen all day not so much.

Like got it spot on. What a sad existence Vegas Dave lives. To be fair, he should some credit for actually taking care of his parents nowadays, but still... Could also be because they're the only ones who can stand him. When he tries to call out plays, gets it wrong and still says "I told you so" .

Does he really make that much money as the sales to his email indicated though??? I wouldn't put it past him to set it up so he "bought" the plays himself to make him look good on TV.

I believe those were real, I guess. I wouldnt doubt he makes money from selling picks. He was HUGE for a while after that KC future bets so I could see that being real.

But again...his whole claim to fame was that KC futures bet to win 1.2 million. But when they asked the parents when was the last time you gave dave money, they go "the KC game" (meaning the futures bet) which wasnt that long before they filmed this. So they were kind of inferring that theyve been giving him money all along.

So Im pretty sure all he does is take his parents money and make a ton of futures bets and then just show the ones that win or get close. When they asked them about giving Dave money, theyre like "oh yea, 70k here, 40k here"...theyre foreign so its a little muddled but im pretty sure all his money just comes straight from his parents. They never mention anything about Dave paying them back too which is unreal. Imagine living at your parents house who have given you hundreds of thousands of dollars to bail you out of your gambling habit and you have over 200k in cars parks outside.

Whatever hes doing exactly, it is downright DEPRESSING. I mean honestly, he seems like the saddest dude in the world. Absolute zero self-awareness, dumb as HELL (his play for the superbowl was the rams +3 (buy the half point of course) because, and I quote, "vegas oddsmakers actually opened this game at rams -1 and the public moved it. NO ONE KNOWS THIS BUT ME.")

I could write a dissertation on vegas dave after watching this. He talks about how you HAVE to be lonely to be successful, his days seems to be spent sitting on his parents couch going through twitter, shouting his cringeworthy snapchat "plays" into two phones at the same time, then driving alone to eat dinner alone. He hates Las Vegas and would move but his parents like it or something. Every time they ask him anything remotely like "dont you feel bad that all your customers are addicts?", he goes "yea and they depend on me to win for them! God forbid I lose a game!" then rambles on and on.

He truly comes off, like as bad as someone could possibly come across. Hes a dumb, boastful, loud, complete fraud, fat, sad, lonely, maybe gay but who cares, leach.


But Kelly and Krack were cool. I would watch the shhit out of anything with them in it, especially krack. I cant wait to watch the last episode later on.

He's also a big collector of Mike Trout Rookie cards and has hoarded many of the top cards. Probably valued at around $1 million give or take $200K.

Accused of shilling and buying his own cards to create a false sense of value.

The collectors just hate the guy!

Krackman hates the guy for selling picks but has started selling his own picks. Go figure.

Obviously Krackman and Kelly come off great. Fishnev(SP?) is another character that is endearing.

A couple of high networth guys and a bookie round out the lot.

Yeah but the best part came right before that. To paraphrase: "Every time I bet against the patriots, I lose. Therefore, I'm going with the Rams" lolol

And he was buying to +3.5. Obviously he does that and teasers so that he can look good more often, and his customers don't understand math so he gets away it.

Enjoyed the series. Didn't know anything about the people in it beforehand. Definitely come away from it rooting for Krack's continued success and for Vegas Dave to wind up giving $5 blowjobs behind a dumpster. Kelly is likeable but I wouldn't tail her picks. That fat degen dude is like the dictionary picture of a loser. I hope he eventually gets laid though (without paying for it).

Krack could lose a few lbs himself, I think it costs him money. There was that one scene where, by the time he made it over to the desk, he was 20 seconds too late because the line had moved.

Im very torn on this. Part of respects the hustle but most of me sees him more of like a heroin dealer sitting in rehab parking lots. Sure, hes not MAKING these people do heroin. But theres lots of ways to make money...you did CHOOSE this path.

In his position he could at least be telling his victims how much to bet on his plays and make it a reasonable amount, but instead he's always like, "Omg LOCK bet a ton it can't lose". I guess in the short term, if someone is thinking of paying $500 for a pick, they'd rather spend it on a "lock" than a 60% play. In the not-so-long run they'll notice that his plays aren't locks more quickly than they would have noticed that they weren't whatever %. People who already bought a season package, he already got their money and probably doesn't plan on them renewing the subscription.

He even said he makes plays for every night game because his customers are degens who need to have action whenever games are going on. So that means there are some games that wouldn't even be bets for him, but he flips a coin anyway and sells it as a lock for $500. This as someone who used to be in their shoes and would be sleeping under a bridge if not for his ridiculous parents.

I don't imagine his customers stay long, but if that's the case then I don't know how gets a steady stream of new victims.

Truth be told I probably wouldn't feel sorry for most of his victims, but **** him nonetheless. There is no point to his existence nor anyone like him, the world would be a better place without ****s like him.

Being a degenerate betting and sweating random games is a very lonely experience. Being part of a group that celebrates wins together and shares the pain of losses provides a valuable experience. Is this what touts are really selling?
