Humans evolved to only feel empathy for people they know and can see around them. It's unnatural to feel empathy for every single human on the planet.
What's worse is that there isn't any video or pictures in this article so feeling any sort of serious emotion would make you a bloody weirdo. There is a reason why people don't care when they hear that a million Arabs died to bombs or that a million Africans died to starvation.
It's hard to feel empathy for people in bad circumstances in your own country yet you think it's normal to give a **** when you hear some random dude died in costa rica. That's why I'm confused as to all the virtue signalling in this thread from people who don't even know him personally.
