If you have time to run the numbers and don't mind sharing, I'm very curious to know what the model's root mean squared error and mean absolute error metrics look like compared to the numbers you've been betting into. Interested to see how much of an edge on those metrics was required to go on a +50 unit run.

haven't tailed yet, just enjoying the thread, will likely start doing it for small amounts once but i often see them after the fact or am deep in my own rabbit hole of dfs projections

but my personal story aside, anyone tailing you clearly has no other options and even in the event your model is flawed, they are very much better off tailing something than just picking the guys they like

besides, i'm sure you know this as well, but you've been killing it thus far, even it's just variance anyone tailing you would have done well for themselves

Going to pause the strikeouts experiment. After some thought and a little research I don't think pitcher strikeouts are Poisson because they are not rare enough of an event. Not sure what would be appropriate or what others use to do pitcher strikeouts when they have projections.
