I am pretty sure I'm not alone in missing football already. Since we have a lot of sideline activity going on (schedule releases, season win totals, rumors about Brady/Gronk not coming back this year, Rodgers being unhappy in GB, NFL draft etc) I thought it might be useful to create a little off-season NFL thread around news and action around the league.

A few draft prop bets I like:

QBs drafted in the 1st round: O/U 5 - tough here but I feel like 6 is way more likely than 4 tbh (Rudolph being the x factor of late 1st or early 2nd maybe). Likely a push but I'd take over.

Josh Allen drafted 1st overall: I'll take anything close to +200 (though I do think it will be Darnold, the value is just too high at that level.)

Lamar Jackson: drafted in the first round? yes (-250)

Will the top 3 picks be a QB? No (-175)

Also, anyone else starting to think things in NE might actually be coming to a boil? BB's last season perhaps?

NE will keep it going and probably roll through the AFC yet again. I don't think their losses were that big (Amendola, Lewis, Cooks, Butler) with the exception of Solder. They get back Donta Hightower, Edelman, and Malcolm Mitchell. That's huge and more than makes up for any losses but yeah they've gotta find someone good to replace Nate Solder. They also have two first round picks and two second round picks. It's unfair for the Patriots to have that much draft capital. Lots of talk about all the turmoil and hurt feelings but it'll be all business once football starts. That's the way it always is with the Patriots. It's remarkable what they've done. Oh and I forgot McDaniels turned down an NFL head coaching job to stay with NE. They've got another year or two left. Stupid as hell to have traded Garoppolo though.

NFC looks to be about as tough as I can recall either conference ever being. I don't see Philadelphia dropping off too much. LAR had the biggest off-season, Minnesota probably has the best roster in the NFL. SF, GB, Atl, NO...you can make a case for all those teams. Carolina, Sea, Dallas Det should be competitive.

I'll be watching GB's draft very closely. Same with Indianapolis, SD, and of course, NE.
