Unlucky last night, clearly the right side.

Goddamn ****ing rain costing me my EV tho, got O's -104 and it's canceled even tho it will be same pitchers Tuesday and Chen is -113 now. Sigh.

Giants should've won last night, even though they couldn't close the game with runners on. Cards got really lucky with those homers.

0-2 the past two plays on MLB.. bummer

When you say right side I assume you mean price wise? I felt Lynn was the better starter, lower fip, hr/9, etc etc, cards better bullpen. That being said I felt it was a coinflip game, and couldn't justify laying the juice on the cards.

I mean strictly the way the game played out, I would 100% take Giants +122 again if they replayed that game tomorrow. More hits, left bases loaded in 9th, 9 overall LOB to 5 for Cards. Yeah, the Cards hit for more power, but the fact that two of their four bombs were hit by guys with career slugging below .400 indicates they were pretty damn fortunate to get those.

Also, Lynn might be slightly better than Peavy overall but he is awful at getting lefties out, and the Giants were able to trot out a pretty lefty heavy lineup. Check Lynn's career L/R splits, they are terrible. Be pretty surprised if he didn't end up in the pen eventually.

Or that the Giants pitcher threw a few meatballs. Really, the Giants were very fortunate to even have a chance to win last night (and I bet them). They gave up 4 homers, got a huge break when StL lost Molina and how often does a guy score from 2nd on a wild pitch?
10-14-2014 , 02:48 AM
How many meatballs do you think those guys saw over their careers? And neither has managed a SLG over .388. And I'm setting a really low bar with .400 lol...

And if Rosenthal isn't plating guys on wild pitches, he's usually finding other ways. Pretty standard for him.

The four highest-leverage plays of the game each resulted in the Giants WP dropping. I think that's a pretty good indicator that the Cards were the fortunate ones.

Not sure if i'm spelling it right but i heard on espn yesterday that molina may be gone for the rest of the series. If that's true the series swings heavy in the favor of sf.

I too missed out on the live o3.5 & o4.5
But I'll take the win.

Letting it ride on Giants winning the series against royals.

Go Giants.
10-17-2014 , 10:55 AM
Put copious amounts of money on the royals taking the series in 5,6,7 games.
10-17-2014 , 01:04 PM
Putting money on giants taking the first game. My thoughts are similar that royals will likely take the lead later on into the series.

Should be an entertaining match up regardless of who wins

This looks like it may be a repeat of the 2007 World Series.

Backing up the truck on the Giants to win the series. Experience will (hopefully) win out on this one. Actually somewhat surprised Royals are the current betting favorite.
