I am trying to figure out which is better for finding the fish, LAG's, recreational players who do not care if they win or lose.

Specifically, I am looking for online play and Stars vs. Full Tilt because I am a US player.

I generally do well in So.Cal live games 2/4 limit, 3/6 limit and $50 or $100 NL, but I am not seeing the same wild conditions online at Stars. I have not played at Full-Tilt yet.

I want to try to make a serious second income and am trying to figure out where I am more likely to make money (assuming I know what I am doing, my stats are close to optimal, etc).

Any suggestions?

i switched from limit to no limit bc i thought (and think) there's more money in no limit, and i'm certainly not the only one

if that answers ur question

I think as long as it's on TV, NL will always have more money and more/better/live'er fish.

Think about it... the fish can win the most money repeatedly making the biggest mistakes. It takes a much more patient person to figure out how to play limit well, let alone beat it.

Alpharetta is pretty awesome, by the way.

If I decide to play NL, what books do you recommend reading? Right now, I am reading Supersystem, Supersystem 2, Hold Em Poker for Advanced Players, Small Stakes Hold Em, and Lee Jones' book on Low Limit Hold Em. I was gearing my reading to Limit Play, but I can certainly re-think this idea if I am apt to make more money (and find more fish) at NL.

Don't worry about the books, you can learn everything you need to beat micro/small stakes here. Online games are a lot tougher than live games at their respective limits, so I suggest you start with a small deposit at a site like stars, which will allow you to play NL at the smallest stakes with .01 and .02 blinds. Move up whenever you have 20 buyins for the next level ($100 for .02/.05, $200 for .05/ .10.) Move back down if you fall below 10 buyins.

They all have fish and they are all fine choices. I think your choice for what to play should be based on your style and personality. Game selection at the micros for all these games is like fishing with dynamite. Just sit at a table and you'll get action. Play the game you most like playing. Maybe try each one out for 10k hands or so to figure out what you want.

Try searching the beginner's forum and then go to uNL and read their sticky. Then after you have a decent grasp of the uNL sticky, come here and read the sticky that we have. Its alot of information so it will take some time to read and really grasp but it will pay off for sure.

I have been playing for years and do not consider myself a beginner. I understand pot odds, implied odds, starting hands, pre-flop play, the importance of position, etc and have been playing successfully at B&M in So.Cal for years. Have been playing online for years as well. When it was really fishy, was making money online. Over last couple of years, though, I am at slighly below break even online and have not played much. When I do play, it is at micro. So I am more interested in getting information from people currently playing at 2/4, 3/6 limit and $25/$50 NL as to what their current take on the "fishiness" of the play at those levels seems to be.

High (especially at 6-max), fairly high and extremely high respectively (all on Stars). Play whichever you enjoy, unless you only want the money...

I strong suggest NL just because it is more profitable in the long run as you move on up imo. whether you play NL50 or 2-4 limit doesn't really matter. Whether your playing Nl400 or 15-30 limit in 6 months is a big deal.

Also, I would recommend some humility regarding the experience and would try to think of yourself as a beginner again. Even the 1-2NL online games are way way less fishy than the 5-10NL live games in my city at least.

I am more interested in the money than the enjoyment. I really want this to be a significant 2nd income. That's why I want people's input on where the fish are, where the money is "easier" relatively speaking.
