A little late re:sosick but I value coolness and intelligence (and "bedroom fit") quite a bit higher than raw hotness than pretty much most people I hang out with.

While more raw hotness is always good it's kind of more like a binary "yeah that or better will work" for me. At some point adding more hotness is more like upgrading a perfectly fine watch to a rolex if that makes any sense..thus I'd likely never "switch up" for hotness reasons.

Also I'm certainly of the "don't think about it" school of thought when it comes to dating.

self-happiness is more important than social validation so actually would rather be with a girl who im really happy with rather than a girl everyone else thinks is really hot.

This is exactly right. If you have a connection with a girl and your friends are lol'ing at you because she's not the highest quality of carnal trim, they're not really very good friends. So don't be self-conscious at all about it.

If I posted pics of all the girls I've been with, you guys probably wouldn't select my fiancee has the hottest. But she honestly the most perfect woman in the world in my eyes, even on days where she looks like hell. There comes a point where you see someone differently than the rest of the world does, and that's a really good thing.

I don't encourage trying to talk yourself into settling down either. It's something that just happens. It doesn't have to now, but you'd be foolish to pass up a chance at it.

hot girls are great for hooking up but never great for relationships in general. a girl's hotness is subjective/temporary n if thats the main criteria u look for in a gf u're gonna be hugely disappointed. hell even jessica alba is starting to look boring to me after all these years. there i said it
