No way, have FT really just introduced a new loyalty scheme and at the same time screwed all but their loosest regs?!

yeah im afraid they did exactly that. id be interested to hear how big the difference is w other players that maybe play loser than 19/17

Let me rephrase that...for HEM users. Someone in the FTPDoug thread posted it's not in HEM but you can somehow add it yourself

Yeah I wanted to check this

so ****ing tilted about contributed rake... over 41k hands, MGR=4280, rake = 3305, BUT I think that rake number is the rake from pots I won, not the way they are calculating it... still feel like I'm going to get raped here

you may be right w the first part and i def agree on the 2nd part.

m reading all about this "we want to be fair" "we are all about fairness" and it's smooth rhetoric-skills and all, but if these numbers really are correct or the contributed rake of a 19/17 player in 6max is really sigificantly less than the mgr they're just esentially ****ing us up w this. i hope someone can figure this out quickly bc im already tilted by this

if you're a winner, weighted contributed should be a bit smaller than rake actually paid, but not by a huge factor. If you're a fish, weighted contributed will be higher than rake paid.

Affiliates who brought fishes to FTP without rakeback are opening champagne bottles at this very moment.

Just noticed that you now get auto disconnected from FTP after being inactive for some time unless you click a button

i guess we'll know the difference for sure next friday. if its sigificantly less rakeback i think we can all get something together and try to change it back

I have played nlhe/plo 6 max and hu this month. I contributed 1909, and mgr was 1784.

its very unlikely you will not benefit when playing 22/18 unless you have a real conservative postflop game.

assuming an average postflop looseness, if you play looser than the table average preflop you earn from this, if you play tighter you lose. i dont know what the average vpip is but im pretty sure 22/18 is not lower than it.

i understand some people being upset but this is really a much more fair system. like blix, assuming your numbers are correct instead of 27% rakeback you were effectively getting 38.61% rakeback (.27 * (1747/1215)). thats obv awesome for you, but this is a zero sum game. you gaining 11% on your rakeback means the rest of the table was getting 11% less than deserved. mgr is just a really unfair system.
09-30-2010 , 09:35 AM
Guess this means i've been earning less than 27% rakeback given i'm paying more than the tighter players.

I never really factored that into my style, but I can see how playing nitty would get you absurd true rakeback relative to what you put in the pot. Glad they are changing this because that really isn't fair.

So apparently I've got 833 rolling avg. Have played 70k hands in july, 25k in august and 25k in september. I wasn't expecting to make it. Am I missing something?

Anywho, now that I do have it, is it worth spending the FTP on cash bonuses or is it basically the same thing as before?

Why wouldn't you spend it on cash? Beats getting a TV that you don't need.
09-30-2010 , 09:40 AM
dus anyone know how to check you contributed rake vs MGR in HEM? I play pretty loose so and Im interested to see if the change is better for me
09-30-2010 , 09:41 AM
Im confused, do these rake changes affect just the way rakeback is calculated, or do they also affect the way rake is taken out of pots when we play?
09-30-2010 , 09:42 AM
Oh, was I using MGR in HEM? For some reason it didn't match up with my rakeback site.

spend it on cash bonuses obv to make up for the loss in rb.

i think effectively the new system does increase our actual rb% slightly from the previous 27% + ironman. the fact however is that it's no where near SN at all.
09-30-2010 , 09:47 AM
Look at this link, if this was true i'm puking. I play like 30 vpip in 6 max, that would mean i'm getting like 20% or less?

So gentlemen, please provide your over/under on the number of blackcard holders that will sustain it...i.e. guest how many true black card players there are on FTP
I'll just randomly guess 4k (iirc there's about 300 SNE which is obviously tons harder to get)
09-30-2010 , 09:50 AM
Guess only thing to do is grind as normal for the next week and see what RB we get because i sure as hell can't work out all the different permutations.
