thats true, but his friends make fun of him. ive heard radio interviews where they make fun of him but he still keeps playing. if you have the money to lose and you wanna keep playing most people are gonna keep playing and wont care what others think

Is it really that hard to keep your mouth shut?

This is what I suspected, which is why I thought it was such a BS move. But hey if you can't beat them report them lol. Anyhow this whole situation made this thread funner to read, I assume its over.

On a different topic, NFL playoffs are here, will there being any playoff pools or superbowl pools starting soon.

I don't know why you assume he quit. I think it's much more likely he's probably happily off donating at some smaller/untracked site.

We must call this vs good villains a decent amount but I think the default play is to muck it
Vs a good villain a better way to play this is to check back turn with strong hands sometimes so you have more hands to bet/call river with, and to bet turn/check river instead of the other way around

This. When conditions at venue x become unfavorable the gambler goes to venue y

Results, I shoved and he had QTo -__- which is why I posted the hand. It's something that I didn't really have in my stove range, but if he's c/r'ing this kind of air I'd assume that he's barreling a turn almost always and I still feel like shoving > calling or folding here. 3b flop is an option, but I feel like when someone c/r this board they're barreling the turn with their air almost always, and probably only like a T is super scary to me.
Yeah, that is exactly what I mean. I think a 9, T, Q are all scary to your range.

In a vacuum with no history if he c/rs like JT he's turning it into a bluff because other than TT or maybe 99 there just aren't any worse hands you call with and the only draw is T9. So I expect him to c/c with weak Jx, so the only Jx I see him c/ring is AJ.

If you have history and he expects you to float a lot or 3bet bluff flop or something, this all changes.

There is no way someone who lost this consistently quit for that reason.

The real reason he quit is almost assuredly because he thinks the internet is rigged, and all the people railing him and his ptr page, etc, are just "proof" in his mind.

I guarantee you he spends a ton of time at some 5/10 or 10/20 game telling all the people he donates to about how rigged online poker is, and seriously, if I could somehow gather together anyone that has ever typed something like that in chat at his table into one building I could not possibly find a better use for an anti-personnel mine

Hell, if he wrote to ftp support and quoted all the chat and said "this **** is ****ing bull**** why do I have to put up with this" I bet they'd be happy to change his screen name for him

Does anyone here have a subscription to Card Player magazine?

Apparently there is an article about a hand I played in the December 30 issue, if anyone with it could be bothered scanning the article for me I would be very grateful (its on page 38).

I am going to get a copy sent to me but just wanted to see how it came out.

1/8 in the $24,000. Shipped a tournament yesterday, and shipped two already today for about $14,000. First is about $7,700!
