Villain here is 21/16 over a small sample (~200 hands). Has been fairly active at the table especially in position, and we'd stacked each other once each on another table under fairly standard circumstances (set<combo draw and overpair>top pair in 3bet pot).

I feel like perhaps I messed this hand up a bit. I wasn't expecting a big raise on the end and figured that my hand looks like a medium flush that he's looking to take to value town. Thoughts? Should I have considered putting in a raise somewhere, or donk the turn? 100bb deep I maybe play this a bit different. Comments on all streets appreciated

I agree that there's no reason to play an active and decent regular OOP with a spec hand.

I guess he figures he can rep the flush because he checked the turn through, like he would with a drawing hand. But really, what would his range be when he raises from MP? It's not going to be 76s (if it is snapcall ldo), so it's going to be AcXc and club broadway hands and he would probably keep firing with them on the turn. Would he really check through KcJc here, or KcQc? His bet on the flop, moreover, is largish, which makes it look like he's trying to protect a made hand from a FD (or air).

I think you should call.

Preflop and river are both really horrible.

fold preflop, this is really bad.

I check/raise the flop to take it down and it's difficult to extract value OoP if we c/c flop.
as played I call the river but I'm not too happy about it

fold or at least 3bet pre, i dont like c/ring the flop (unless hes a total cbet monkey who folds to raises pretty often) because we cant stand a 3bet

call river
