i dont think flop requires a nearly full pot bet....raise to like 15 or so
11-27-2008 , 02:14 AM
i fold
this is nuts

Make it less on the flop, like 14 or 15 and get it in on turn. I don't see him holding an 8 here very often.

Why bet the turn? WA/WB imo.

to win his stack when we're ahead?

for those who said they get it in here -- what kinds of hands do you expect to see? 50% 8/other hands beating us, 50% random K's? what if flop was check call then the turn was check minraised by this villain?
11-27-2008 , 01:54 PM
Stack off time.
11-27-2008 , 02:42 PM
folding is good

As played im stackin off. I don't blame people saying fold though. Theres really no way to put his line on a hand without being at the table seeing how villian has been playing.

If im playing the hand though i think there are a fair amount of times i check the turn.

It's a K or an 8, and there's way more K combo's so get it in.

I had to laugh out loudly when I read that, level or not, well played sir.

I get it in here.

i probabily dont fold either... however i think hes behind pretty often IMO
11-27-2008 , 05:41 PM
I call turn and stack off on the river.
11-27-2008 , 05:49 PM
Is this ever a king? Why would anyone check-minraise the turn with a king? Seems like his range is 76/55/8x and random WTF stuff like AJ. Meh, I have a hard time ever folding to such a strange line by a bad player.
11-27-2008 , 06:03 PM
Yeah the only King I can see is AK trying this out. He is afraid you'll fold worse if he reraises on flop and is pretty certain you'll bet turn so he can check raise?
11-27-2008 , 06:16 PM
The stats don't look like it belongs to a donk here. I think in game I would go all in. However, if I had time to think about this, I think we are more often behind than we are ahead in this situation. The raise isn't enough for it to be 67dd since that gives him no f/e. No way that Kx would play like that. I think his range is closer to 55, 88, KK, or maybe AK. And I think calling here is better than raising in this spot on the turn.
11-27-2008 , 06:49 PM
The stats are only over 50 hands, so you can't tell much. What you can tell is that he is calling as much as he is raising, so that is one clue he is bad. The other clue is the flop minbet.

Antoher part of his range might be 97/86/64 gutshots that called the flop raise because he's a fish and now knows he has little shot to win the hand so he just tries to rep the 8.
11-27-2008 , 10:38 PM
this is an easy stack off. esp when the 8 comes.
