Don't want to sound like too much of an idiot and complain about something that I willingly spend my own time doing, but this season has been more letdown then excitement for me. The storyline doesn't seem to move forward and can at times be irrelevant? Maybe formulaic is a better description, I dunno they could just be character building or I am just a douche.

I watched Valhalla Rising. Interesting one there.

i agree that season 2 isn't as good as season 1... book 1 was >> book 2 (imo). i can see your opinion on the plot being slow as well. on the other hand, they are clearing up the larger issues of who is coming out on top between the warring factions in westeros and setting a few things up for the next season (or should be, after this last ep). season 3 should be ****ing great all around though (if they follow book3).

Yeah, as is the problem with converting a great book to the screen, it's easy to get lost in the inclusion of certain details and as a result have scenes be somewhat extended beyond what they need to be; or at least they lose some flow and flexibility. That's why shows like the Wire and Sopranos were so watchable.


Are there any sports bettors in here, or someone who's smart? I'd like know if I were a Yankee fan and the Rays and Bosox are playing each other with the current standings. Do I want the Rays to sweep or win 2 of 3; or do I want the Bosox to win the series? Do I want to be fighting for one of 3 playoff spots or 2 playoff spots? It seems obvious but there's that thing with picking your door then having the option to switch and up your chances. Let's assume we expect regression from the O's current pace.

season 1 > 2 blah blah whatever...they accomplish two different things...i appreacate what each brings to the table. The show is just so wonderfully done overall, love it.

S2 overall is not as great as S1 imo, but yeah last nights episode was fantastic. I'm rewatching it tonight in fact!

In fact, maybe. We're getting some of book three in season two and we may well have a little vice-versa. We're likely to get a lot of book combining to make sure there's enough story for each character.

have to say that s2, i really feel book is much better than screen, whereas for s1 i actually thought screen was almost as good
