Ok so the short stacker pusher is obviously a donk and I'm not really worried about him. The other player, the one who min 3-bets, also seems fishy/bad. That said this is a really strong line. As for my image I'm running like 25/21/3 so pretty aggro, who knows how much they're paying attention though. Anyway, am I going to fold here on the flop?

Ugh. This spot sucks, but I think you have to fold. This reps a set soooo much. The board is so dry and the pot is protected. I bet more on the flop fwiw.

My gut says to fold here. Villian knows he needs to beat the all-in player, who prob has a K, so he almost certainly has you beat. He knows you've got something to call the shortstacker, so why would he get committed without a huge hand? I don't see a fish making a bluff here.

Yup. We're really stretching things here if we continue. Pretty std fold imo.

I think this is a leak. Did you look at the board? not a single straight or flush draw k72r man. Also that statement, when misapplied like in this situation, is probably my biggest pet peave on 2p2 right now. I feel like both value bets and c-bet bluffs on this board need to be no bigger than the bet I made because the flop is so dry.

Good fold with the allin CO, board is so dry I could put him on a set or even AK here.

I understand your logic and agree with it against decent observant players, but I think it is misapplied against droolers like in this post. Donks don't look at bet size, but simply the fact that you bet. Anything that calls $18 on this board will easily also call $25. IMO you're just missing value when you scale down your bet. I don't think balancing your cbet vs. vb is as important vs. these villains.

i've seen fish do this with less sometimes but fold is best here nevertheless
03-24-2008 , 03:46 PM
i don't mind bet sizing here at all by the way

I wouldn't be surprised to see villain doing this with Kx since he probably expects you to c-bet most flops and might think his King is good. With that said I still think it's too big of a chance and a fold looks good.
