I just had one of my friends link me to this and I am blown away ... Jack was a great guy and quite instrumental in helping me get my business started in this industry and was always welcoming and helpful and willing to listen to questions/concerns etc

I did not know Jack for very long but I can say that it certainly doesn't take anyone any amount of time to know when you have met someone that just has that quality that you know makes them good peeps.

Jack was that and so much more.

He will be terribly missed...

RIP Jack,
Colin

only met jack recently since he arrived here in phuket. reading people talk about him on here lets me know that we really lost someone who was going to be a great member of this community, and it makes an already heartbreaking event even sadder for me. RIP.

Jack coached me at NL200 and NL400 for 4 months. Over that time span he helped my game tremendously. My best memories were def. the ones he would laugh or yell above his calm demeanor. For instance we were in a sweat session I had KK and I opened and some Guy who was looser than 3bet me and I didn't wantto 4bet and Jack said just get it in mate your well ahead. The Guy had AA and Jack laughed. From then on whenever I sent him a KK hh...it became a joke to be like just fold pre he has AA. I always talked with him about travel. He for sure showed me that poker could give you the freedom of life and that was something he was passionate about.

He always made fun of how lazy I was when I didn't want to rail him or discuss hands. He'd always say "sure mate" but I knew he thought I was lazy. Just last week he said to me "watching videos is a goal??" Made me laugh because he knows I hate watching vids. Damn still really hard to realize he wont be logging into Skype and asking me how the grind is.

I used to talk to Jack all the time on skype about just about anything from poker to life. He always struck me as a kind hearted individual with no ill intentions towards anyone. Just a couple of months back when I was going through a pretty tough downswing online, he offered to help review my session without me asking and gave me lots of helpful constructive feedback on my game.

He was always one of my fav person to talk to on skype and it saddens me deeply now that he's gone. Jack was an inspiration to me and many others in the community, that with hard work and passion you can achieve whatever you set out to do in life.

Sometimes I marvel at how poetic it must be to die young. People remember you for your vitality and vigor, where no one sees you wasting away in old age and slowly losing grip of your faculties. Perhaps Jack was the fortunate one then, that all of us fondly recall him as one with the biggest heart and passion for life, as one who would go out there and grab life by the collar. Jack was a f*king go-getter who made this community just a whole lot better by being in it.

Perhaps then, we can take comfort and celebrate in the 22 years of life where he lived happy and glorious, touching each and everyone of us whom he came in contact with.

R.I.P Jack Wilcox, you will fondly be remembered and missed.
