No not really, he probably has a slowplayed set. It's not like he can have a missed draw or anything.
The river bet is quite thin but you do normally have the best hand and he'll sometimes call you with worse since it's bvb. Reckon he'll be folding river a lot. C/f would be perfectly fine too, would never c/c since highly doubt he'd bet a worse hand.

Against a competent tag I would obv b/f this river. Against a nit who is most likely gonna fold Tx and worse a ridiculous amt of the time....c/f seems to be way better than b/f, b/c or c/c.

Maybe you could c/r him off bottom set on river...lol.

its not a very lol check. sure you usually have him beat on the river, but it doesnt matter if hes not looking you up ever with 3rd pair and whatnot. check river vs nit probably.

On the other hand if he is the type of player that I'd check/fold the river to then I don't really get the point of a turn bet since balance is irrelevant. He almost never bets worse, and we're only getting two streets from him in the best case.

Guess it all comes down more to postflop reads. I dunno. Stop playing at Stars?
