Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $178.15
BB: $200.00
UTG: $316.85
CO: $332.30
Hero (BTN): $288.15

Reads: I have been somewhat aggro against villian "I drop dueces", mostly in the blinds 3 betting him a couple of times and raising when he open completed. A couple orbits earlier I reraised his SB open raise with 1010 and flat called 2 streets on a 9 high flop and we checked through the river- he showed Q9o and MHIG. I don't know his calling range OOP but I'm thinking it's looser or maybe he's getting trappy. So.....

Preflop: Hero is dealt Q Q (5 Players)
UTG folds, CO raises to $6.00, Hero raises to $21.00, 2 folds, CO calls $15.00

Flop: ($45) 2 J 9 (2 Players)
CO checks, Hero checks

Turn: ($45) 2 J 9 7 (2 Players)
CO bets $30.00, Hero calls $30.00

River: ($105) 2 J 9 7 6 (2 Players)
CO checks, Hero bets $45.00

Comments on all streets appreciated.

This flop is so drawy that I'd rather bet flop and check turn if I was gonna get 'tricky'. What do you do when the Kd comes out? Still take the same line? I just would rather bet flop and see what he does before I decide to get tricky.

more on the river to look more bluffy, unless you are trying to induce but I dont think thats happening often at all.

I like it especially against someone you play vs a lot. Obviously in a vacuum this isn't the most optimal +EV 2+2 way to play but its still not that horrible since you probably aren't going to be winning or losing a lot in this pot with that flop.

I also agree that you should bet river at least $80 since you probably will get looked up very light.

I dont know. With 45 in the pot you charged 30 for him to see the turn and the river when your hand is vulnerable but prob good. If villain has been really coming after you when you show weakness sure, induce bluffs/pot control here but most of time bet flop and go from there.

definitely betting this drawy flop .. I h8 losing a decent sized pot trying to be tricky ..

I really hate getting CR off my hand on that flop especially since my CB is probably gonna be around $35 and his reraise will probably be around $110ish. Given our history and my "feeling" (though I could be wrong) that he may want to tangle, I would hate folding the best hand here. Also I thought there was a chance he might be slowplaying PF, so I thought checking behind was ok here. I do know what your saying and had the Kd hit on the turn I probably check behind again and probably call a river bet, though it would suck and I would hate myself.

If you've been 3-betting him a lot just bet the flop and hope he plays back at you.

yeah wtf bet the flop. the dude sounds like hes ready to play back at you so let him.

I'm never folding if he shoves flop.. why would you?

i have no problems with this line as a rare occasional deviation to mix up your play.

Whoa. I assumed you played it like this because you just felt you could get more value on later streets. I'm shoving over a check raise on the flop here so that wouldn't be a concerm for me at all. If you think he's about ready to make a stand in this spot then I would definitely prefer betting flop.

Your hand against this guy is the stone cold nuts. Given your history I wouldn't be surprised in the least if he check/shoves any draw with 6outs+.
09-13-2007 , 11:25 PM
id bet more on river, like...70. hope he shoves.

I'm not. I'm ******ed. Don't know where my head went . . .

But as a way to vary play against a reg I think I like this though it seems I should bet more on river.
