How to play AK?

I'm not sure why I'm having so much trouble thinking about this hand. It seems like a very basic concept, but maybe just a cooler too.

1/2 at local casino. Effective stack 200.
Hero has a very tight image, been folding for 1 hour+. Villain is a LAG who has been winning all night and making moves.

Hero opens UTG+1 with AKcc to 8, LP LAG (villain) 3bets to 22. Folds around. Hero 4bets to 65. Villain calls. Pot=133.
Flop J72hhd.
Hero bets 135 all in.
Villain calls.

So my plan in this hand is to 3bet to a size that creates a 1:1 spr pot and then jam any flop. Is this a good plan? I want to say I balance my range here by playing AA KK QQ JJ the same way.

This idea of balancing my range is my primary motivation for c-betting AK on this board. Although I can't say this is a bluff (I don't expect better to fold), and I don't think this bet is for value (I don't expect worse to call).
So is this just a bad c-bet? And if it is a bad c-bet then is this strategy I came up with pre-flop bad?

Please help, this is so confusing for me. Thank you!

Re: How to play AK?

Sometimes I come across players who are extremely loose and aggressive. They aren't afraid of getting money into the pot with weak hands, and they are unbluffable. It's important to note who these players are and if this player is one of them.
If he is one of the unbluffables, I would rather keep the pot small by calling the 3bet, and x/f the flop. If he were a short stack, I would just get it in preflop.
When I play against maniacs, they will take down a lot of small pots, and I will take down all the big ones.
I feel like you could be giving villain one of the big ones here.
If he's an unbluffable maniac, he isn't going to notice that you haven't played hands for an hour.

Wouldn't mind just flatting the 3bet and seeing a flop oop. Our hand can often call at least one barrel with some Backdoor/over card equity and we get to see how villain acts to different board textures

If he's not balancing his 4bet calls then I'm just going to 4bet AA/KK (with occasional bluffs) and leave some strong hands in my 3b calling range to sustain his aggression

Think you played it fine. You've got to jam now really.

Flatting pre is a decent line, but u played it fine. U r probably still ahead on flop and need to jam to protect ur equity rather than check and let him bluff u out. I would've played it the same as u.

Re: How to play AK?

The thing about LAG players that you need to remember is that they still do run into hands sometimes, so you need to balance that into their range. With that said, since their range is so big, I don't really see the point of 4betting without shoving pre, so I'd either flat the 3bet or shove pre.
