FT200 Doing some thin stuff, again FT200 Doing some thin stuff, again

I get your point and the reasoning behind it (at least part of it). I just don't think it is + EV unless you have a read that you can induce a bluff raise.
Against an unknown it is neutral EV at best I think.

You guys are very uncreative.
Flop check is arguably quite "creative". Turn and river play are simply bad IMO. check behind on river!!

this is a results orientated post. hero is beat here 99% of time

niel, from time to time, i can see the flop check if u don't want to get shoved off ur hand...turn minraise is meh, kinda turns our hand into a bluff...river raise + river call = ??

i know u said ur thinking changed on the river, but meh, ur play doesn't quite make sense as we usually want a cheap SD which u stated earlier...u were right this time, but how often do u really think u win this pot after caling his raise tbh??

The flop check is fine imo, but I think betting is better.

The turn min-raise is completely ******ed. I either raise more for a free sd or just call to keep inducing on the river. I'm not ever doing something in between where I'm not charging draws, not letting him keep bluffing (well if this min-raise induce a bluff which it actually might you can'tcall) and put myself in a spot on the river where I'll have a hard time to v-bet but yet are ahead quite often.

I'm checking the river b/c I don't expect getting called by worse often. Betting small to induce a bluff from busted draws and calls from Qx is ok with a read, here it's not. Actaully it's quite terrible.

Can you change the title of this to

I mean, seriously. Don't change your lines against donks, just vbet vbet vbet, there's really no trickiness needed.

Flop check is marginal at best, turn minraise is ******ed .. like you tried to get a cheap showdown, then decided that was a bad idea so you bet the river for 1/3 pot?

I hate every street I think.

After 8k posts you ought know this doesn't mean anything. I don't like posting results anywhere in the thread, but it really annoys me when it's done early in the thread.

Preflop: fine.

Flop: Fine. I often check these types of hands, much like I would check AT in this spot.

Turn: Fine. His bet looks weak and I think he's drawing or raising a pair + gutshot. If he's strong then you'd rather pay the $7 extra by minraising than calling a river bet (which is your obligation if you call the turn). Yes, you open up the betting again, but you are behind like 95% of the time with zero outs when he 3-bets. Therefore, it's a good value/information raise. Raising larger is also OK, but I wouldn't raise too large as your average equity is probably not that great.

River: Good value bet. He's certainly calling with a pair most of the time. Calling the river CR is probably neutral.

Overall: You have more game than those who say 'minraising is ******ed'.
