Villain is playing 19/17/9.1 over 270 hands. Cold calls 11% and 3bets 4% from SB, squeezes 6%. He has donked once before in 4 opportunities and I didn't see it, so pretty meaningless. Do you raise at any point before river, and as played what is your play on the river?

NL Holdem $2(BB) Replayer
SB ($237)
BB ($202)
UTG ($416)

What are your reasons behind just calling?

I like how you played it until the river. I absolutely raise here.

dont think have >50% when called on river

What do you think villain has? i would think just because you don't think you will get called by worse doesn't mean you won't. I can see him playing QQ or TT like this.

i can see him playing 77 or 99 like this more often

villain needs to be brain-dead to call a jam here with anything worse than JT.(not saying JT is a bet/call.)

I think 10-8 is def. a possibility, I would lead the flop with 10-8 a lot of the time there. He also could have 7-9s combos that he is leading the flops as well. He only has about 100 back so he is more then likely calling most of the time IMO. Small chance he could have slow played QQ type hands preflop. And he def. could have J8,J10 combos which I think he is calling raises with as well. **** it here 100%

I really don't see how this is just a call. We only realistically lose to JJ, 99, 77, and J9. And he can definitely have hands like AJ, KJ, etc. And if he has those hands, I say that we raise and atleast give him the option of making a mistake on the river.

Yeah, especially based on river sizing I raise. I play it the same throughout. Even if you can't think of hands villain would call w/ here (tho I can think of a few) people are curious in general and you don't give him the chance to call you w/ worse if you don't raise it. There are so few combos of hands that beat us, and if he ever calls w/ T8, JT, rando Jx hands he donked on flop, it has to be a jam

hummm I don't see a 19/17 player having a lot of T8, 79, J9 type hands. So he is almost always betting as a bluff or 77, 99, JT+, maybe TT but rarely. So since there is way more combo of hand that we beat I think it's a shove.

you see nits often donking the flop mit KJ 3way?

lol cmon.. even if he does.. hes most likely checking the Turn (if hes a bad nit)

The result:

I had the same thought process as Lord_Ferus and thatssosick, I couldn't envision a worse hand calling a shove on the river. I also thought I might be involved in a cooler and didn't want to just valuetown myself. So as much as it pained me, I just called the river with a boat

Villain turned over QcJc, which induced a little puke in my mouth

That's kind of weird. Leading 3way in 973r board its always a set or 2pairs and sometimes a semi-bluff like T8 or something like that. I really think the call is the best play. The guy isn't going to play AJ/KJ like this...so few bluffs in his range.

yes I think he can. He is pretty nit pre flop but seem very agro postflop.
