trying to mix it up some more at 400nl since I think my game is a little too abc to be really effective at this level.

I guess its ok if you intend on calling, but I guess you need quite a bit of history to go here.

What's up with the weak flop bet?

Inducing I would guess.

yeah inducing

i really hadn't planned on calling a shove though which in hindsight makes me hate my 3bet size

why would u be calling a shove corksah?

"trying to mix it up some more at 400nl since I think my game is a little too abc to be really effective at this level."

You only need to mix it up like this if you plan on creating history with this player. Once that is established this is fine as a gear shifter.

First you shifted his range by this strange donk bet, and now you shifted your own range even further by 3betting. Its hard to put either of you on a J taking into account yeti and common sense. Given two airs I think I like your air a little better. Worst case scenario I still expect us to have 6 outs most of the time, maybe more on the turn.

I also saw a similar hand in one of DC or PS videos where hero called with AT and the other guy showed like 8 high. Ace was actually inducing a shove from a worse hand. But its higher stakes and they had history, so go figure

i think i would prefer to just make a small 3bet cuz i doubt hes folding anything other than bluffs or whatever (but i think the typical tag raises these donkbets enough with air to make this a good 3bet)

actually nevermind i think i like this better cuz i think he can find a fold with QQ or whatever vs your size

im pretty sure you can not do this and win a lot at 400nl

i think villain is gonna not think there are a lot of jacks in your range + you might not lead them + only other strong hand you can have here is 44 so i think you may have induced a bluff and then rebluffed him but he may just go wtf and shove with 99.

how much respect are you giving an unknown's donk on that board?

seems pretty horrible given the flop texture.
