the queen sucks and his bet size sucks...

meh, i don't play enough anymore to put him on a frequency.

If ur going to continue u might as well shove now.
07-25-2008 , 02:23 AM
actually his bet size might be repping too much strength. I think a stronger hand would bet something smaller to make u feel like u have some FE.

Depends if the Villain can think that deep.
07-25-2008 , 02:24 AM
Being what he is I would put him on a set of queens, tens, or a pair of kings or aces, because he min raised you. This hand is awful. umm I would fold...hate myself but still I think I would fold. If it was only 100bb all would be different but he has you covered. Gosh I dont know you decide.

I'd fold the turn. He is representing a hand that beats top pair and you are deep and out of position.
07-25-2008 , 07:23 AM
I'd 3bet flop small to get him to shove with worse
07-25-2008 , 07:44 AM
i would def 3bet the flop to get it in.

He either has KK or we lose, and I think this is a set almost always from this type of player. 3-bet pot, we have AA, we're not that deep, and I still feel like I could fold here. Am I a nit?

Edit: I think his most likely hand is TT, followed by 33/22, then KK, QQ, JJ, random bluff.

Flop minraise looks so much like a set, and 33/22 might fold pre (though then again slightly deep and people setmine with less than 100bb against me), KK figures it's good since no A flopped, same for QQ, JJ probably checks back turn but who knows.
07-25-2008 , 07:52 AM
I shove flop all day tbh, if he has TT so be it.
07-25-2008 , 07:57 AM
just shove the flop, you're ahead of JJ+.
07-25-2008 , 08:31 AM
get it in on the flop.

as played, turn looks like a fold. against someone this passive he's prob not a thinking player and is probably taking you to valuetown
07-25-2008 , 08:48 AM
You should ask yourself - what does a fairly passive player have to call you preflop... TT+ and AKs/o. And what part of that range does he raise your c-bet with - TT+. Your equity is like 75% fav against that range and he's not likely to fold his overpair - so 3bet and hope to get it in.

I would 3-bet flop and call all-in. What is so fun in "omg he raised me, he haz nuts, my pair is no good!!!11" way of thinking? I can call 3bet IP with a wide range and min-raise contbet with air in his place. Besides, contbet is so small here.
