Villian again 20/17 never saw him c/r flop before, not sure how to respond to that with my holding:

NL Holdem $1(BB) Replayer
SB ($124)
BB ($103)
UTG ($20)
UTG+1 ($143)
CO ($155)

Dealt to Hero K Q

fold, UTG+1 raises to $3.50, fold, Hero calls $3.50, fold, fold

FLOP ($8.50) T 5 J

UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $6.37, UTG+1 raises to $18.74, Hero calls $12.37

Let's figure out V. range if we expect him to be decent.

There are two different reasons you'd want to check-raise as opposed to c-bet being the aggresor:

1) you have this board crushed and aren't afraid to give a free card
2) you have a good drawing hand and want to maximize your fold equity

In group 1 I can't find many holdings. With JJ, TT, 55 this is a scary board OOP and you are definitely afreaid of giving away a free card. Only hand I can find is AsJs.

In group 2 we can include: KQ, 8s9s, Asxs, AQ, AK.

What other hands to add? I can't find any...

Allthough checking behind the flop seems like a decent option, I think your bet is fine. Often he is just check-folding a board like that imo. Calling the raise is fine too, we have good equity against his range.

The turn card is really scary. Although pairing us and giving us a flush draw it smashes his range. If you think he's bluffing a big percentage of the times, make the call.

Otherwise I'd really really really like to find a sick fold with TPGK, OESP and a flushdraw. Not sure I'd been able to make it tho :-)

call again. whats the river?

3bet flop

I'd assume we're behind on the turn. I think his range is JJ, 10 10, AA, AJ, A-X (suited in spades). AJ or AA (w/ ace of spade). We have pretty good equity against all of that and we're getting a little worse than 2-1. So call turn.

i actually thought about this too for a second bc his c/r looks so freaking ******ed but 3betting the flop sucks if he's c/r draws bc we aren't performing that well against draws & we have no foldequity. If you think he's pure bluffing often enough then flating is way better than 3betting bc you are probably ahead quite often and can call or shove many turns. Plus he's probably bluffing cards that improve our hand so 3betting should be pretty bad.

it's hard to say what to do on the turn but i probably call + call pretty much every river. if he has it: nh + i'm making a note. i just don't see many ppl c/r these boards for value and i wouldn't be doing that either EXCEPT Hero is extremely aggressive and paranoid.

this is LOL given op reads. ur saying backdoor flush cuz u saw the turn was Qs. how can u stick it in with 2nd nut backdoor flush that is just a ridiculous statement. noone even stated he was aggressive. instead of catering to a general idea u should ask OP what the agg factor is. 20/17/1 vs a 20/17/5 still doesn't really give u much to go on. especially 5 factor. aggressive players don't normally c/raise.

if he's aggressive don't we want to call so he can bluff all the scare cards that nail us
