3bet pre, now call, c/r sucks because when he calls were crushed
10-26-2010 , 02:13 AM
it's not a cib, it'd be a mincheckraise, and that'd be awful
10-26-2010 , 04:26 AM
Call

If you shove villain would be getting 2.4 to 1 on the call.

Vs. a guy who all we know is that he's 16/14 over 20 hands I'd be shoving. And let's see:

Well against a range of overpairs, sets, and a lot of flushes (I put in a LOT of diamond hands):

162 games 0.016 secs 10,125 games/sec

Board: 8c 5d 4d Td Jc

Hand 1: 44.444% 44.44% 00.00% 72 0.00 { QQ+, TT, 88, 55-44, AdKd, AdQd, Ad9d, Ad8d, Ad7d, Ad6d, Ad5d, Ad4d, Ad3d, Ad2d, KdQd, Kd9d, Kd8d, Kd7d, Kd6d, Kd5d, Kd4d, Kd3d, Kd2d, Qd9d, Qd8d, Qd7d, 9d8d, 9d7d, 9d6d, 8d7d, 8d6d, 8d5d, 7d6d, 7d5d, 7d4d, 6d5d, 6d4d, 5d4d, 5d3d, 4d3d }

doesn't matter, he's folding his overpairs to a shove
10-26-2010 , 05:20 AM
and probably checks them back a lot
10-26-2010 , 06:24 AM
Would you of just called the flop if you didnt have the J of diamonds?

The river just call imho, flush will dominate the amount of times you see sets paying you off here.
10-26-2010 , 06:41 AM
Shove.
10-26-2010 , 06:44 AM
b/f river as played.
10-26-2010 , 09:24 AM
raising/shoving river is surely too thin.
10-26-2010 , 09:26 AM
I (quickly) stoved a semi-wide range of only flushes & sets earlier and got 52-55% equity. If he calls wider than this (inc. overpairs) then it's not all that thin. My stove could be wrong though.

I also think we can discount some flushes somewhat cause of his river sizing but maybe not.
10-26-2010 , 09:28 AM
the f shove
10-26-2010 , 09:33 AM
if we shove by what we will have call ?he will fold QQ AA KK ...
10-26-2010 , 09:54 AM
you really believe that some random unknown folds QQ+ to a shove 100% of the time here?
what about lower sets? JT? T8?

and more than that, as I assume you're never folding, do you really believe this river bet represents a better hand than ours a greater percentage than the percentage of villain calling a shove with worse?

if you do, by all means, call or fold

3bet preflop, now call. Raising the river is to thin imo. He has all straights and all flushes, but not so many bluffcatchers.
