against the range that calls your turn CR i think its pretty much the same except A2 has blockers for bottom set. (i take it no one calls 1 pair hands to a CR on this spot)

playing Axss this way isn't nearly as bad as people are suggesting given how many worse draws we can expect to barrel this turn card and call our raise (results oriented obv, but see hero's hand) + we get some folds + the fact that we don't necessarily have to fold to a turn 3b this deep depending on villains sizing/tendencies.

that said, this pretty much has to be a fold although i agree with CCM in that i probably call here in game.

Re: 1/2: 300bbs, hand has been in my head all month

ehhhhhhh

we're missing some pretty important information (e.g. %vpip from bb? i know we're deep, but it is relevant)

obv no way in hell sets ever take this line. I can see some ppl c/calling flop with sets, but they are never c/raising this turn so small, and hell no is anyone c/jamming river with 888 here.

I think I call after tanking forever. Initially obv given villain's image etc etc we're never good here, but a lot has to go right for him to take this line with Axss. So he doesn't donk flop? blockbet/3bet turn? c/raise flop? I mean, which Axss hands exactly never have good equity on this flop? this isn't KsTs7d and he is holding a5ss.

tankcall and expect a lower flush >>Axss imo.

edit: i also just realized that he could also do this with Asxx hands too, although tons less likely. Him showing up with AsQ would be a hilarious result in this hand tho.

nope, its not. against 2 pr/sets+, As2s is 60/40 fav. w/As3s, youre a 30/70 dog. theyre nowhere near the same hand.

Re: 1/2: 300bbs, hand has been in my head all month

Haven't read the thread and I don't expect my answer to be unique but this looks pretty much like how I percieve described villain might play Axss. I'd play it the same as hero although I'd bet larger on the river and comfortably fold to the checkraise (on paper, I might very well spazcall live cause I'm a donk). I base this on his non-optimal (wide) stats and mentioned calling tendencies, there aren't that many hands that would do this as a bluff and I think he'd lead river with 43ss and the likes. Very few people have balls playing 300bbs deep.

seriously.

let alone a player with 17% riv agg frequency. this guy looks like he pretty much never bluffs, let alone in a ridic huge pot.

in before: "Thats the genius of the play!"
