Widening VPIP while on mega fish table? Adjusting to PPPoker home game? Widening VPIP while on mega fish table? Adjusting to PPPoker home game?

I stopped grinding while ago, but returned to poker with PPPoker with a home grame from the city I play.
The games are incredible soft even on plo1k and I really think that PLO5 on stars are at least twice as difficult, I play between plo100 and plo400.

It is standard to play with 60% vpip players. There are always players with 70%+
For instance there is a guy with 1k stack in my plo200, he has the 1k stack but still lose 1.6k on the table, he has 75% vpip, 44% pfr and 23% 3bet. It plays like live.

My question is, if they are incredible loose aggressive and play horrible post flop. Is it OK to call wider, to outplay them? Even though means more variance?

Or you guys think I should play even more tight, so I can dominate their range and reduce variance?

Stacks are pretty much always 200bb+.

I'm asking this question because I think my vpip was around 30 or 35 if I remember correctly, now it is between 45 and 47.
Playing 1 table obviously is really boring, but it is totally worth it.

You can certainly call wider but it's more important to raise wider pre-flop, that will be much more valuable.

And about tables when there are a lot of limp/calls?

I still adhere to a fairly rigid PF hand selection strategy in games with high VPIP players limp/ calling and such. If you open wider you're increasing variance and not pushing any edges because you have next to no fold equity PF. You'll tend to get yourself in more favourable/ profitable situations if you play hands with more nutted or dominating equity

Do you care more about reducing variance or maximizing EV?

If they play horribly postflop, then you probably want to bloat the pot if they fold too much on later streets and maximize your implied odds by keeping the preflop pot smaller if they put in too much action postflop.

You say it plays like live and I tend to have about a 20% VPIP in live games, even with someone like this in the game. If this is playing like a live game where 5+ players are seeing the flop, then the massively multi-way nature of most pots probably should affect your starting hand selection more than having a fish play way too many hands.

I play in these games a ton (I suspect I may have the most hands on this app but it's hard to tell because people switch accounts so often). My VPIP is 39% in all games, though some of that is short-handed and my VPIP 6-max is lower. I think I play too many hands, and suspect a VPIP of about 30% or a bit lower is right 6-max.

One of the most important things you can do here, especially if playing in a small pool, is tag the people that are unbluffable. I just give them the "DNB" (Do Not Bluff) tag. If someone gets that tag, I won't bluff them ever. I will c-bet them sometimes, but if they call a bet I am only continuing with value hands. I'm also redefining what I think of as a value hand and value betting them more thinly.

One word of warning - be sure you trust your agent and the club generally. I played a bunch in a big union that went bust. Evidently they were letting some whales play and lose on credit, and then unsurprisingly couldn't get paid. I lost 11k, though fortunately it was all winnings and my agent made me pretty much whole.

What stakes were you playing? I don't see why you would keep more than a few buyins on with so much concern about exit scams, you can always reload if you bust.

2/4 and 5/10 both deepstack. I don't love getting a lot of money electronically so liked to settle up with my agent in cash, which means keeping a balance.
