One of the best things about set ups in PLO is that they happen often. Take this hand below. I had AAxx and was check raised all in on the flop getting 3.4:1 on a call. I can only wonder how much $$ I would win if I ran well in these situations as I lost two buy-ins during this session with the rolls reversed (I had top set vs overpair and/or NFD). So annoying.

In other news, PLO is a really tough game because it's possible to lose a hand.

PLO=pain, loss, oblivion

as long as your making the right ply the result is irrelevant, ten thousand hands from now justice will be served

without knowing the action pre, the opponent, or the SPR, it looks like you made the right call vs his range

I don't find it "annoying" when I make a +ev play. As long as you have a big enough bankroll, results never matter. Decisions are the only things that matter.

I know, someone missed the "pain, loss, oblivion" post.

I doubt you will be posting a hand history about how lucky you got when your inferior hand out flopped AAxx.

This is normal, learn to deal with it or you won't find much success in PLO.

Here's one

KQQT (Hero CO 75BB) vs 8996 (BTN, 150BB)

BTN straddle, 5 way limped pot.

Flop Q99. (Checked around)

Turn: 7. Hero bet half pot, BTN calls

River Q. Hero bet half pot. BTN raised ALL.

Huge cooler there.
