Global Poker, PLO $0.05-$0.10, 6-player max

UTG: 99bb
HJ: 62bb
BTN: 548bb
SB (Hero): 140bb
BB: 85bb

No information on any of the players

Hero has A J T 7

Preflop: (1.5 bb, 6 players)
UTG raises 3bb, HJ calls, CO calls, BTN 10bb, Hero calls, BB calls, UTG calls, HJ calls

Flop: (50 bb in pot, 5 players) 4 7 K
Hero checks, BB 50 bb, UTG folds, HJ raise all in for 52 bb, BTN calls, Hero calls, BB calls

River: (54 bb in pot, 2 players) 4 7 K Q
Hero bets 77 bb, BB calls all in for 22 bb, HJ all in already, BTN folds

Turn: 4 7 K Q 8

Preflop: I should have 4 betted in stead of calling, if I am going to play this hand, but still have not gotten that down yet.

Flop: I had one blocker to a full house. So I am pretty sure his range is KKxx so I don't think the call is terrible...or do I push here?

Turn: of course I hit gin so I bet trying not to lose the BTN but however I guess I should have bet more to have him pay for whatever he might have drawn...or should I have checked here...eh

River: Well of course my hands hold up....

I think I should have 4 betted preflop if I am going to play this hand...Just wondering what everyone thinks. Whether 4 bet or fold, and then on the river do I check or the bet was fine.

Thanks in advance.

Calling is still better than folding, but yes, especially sb, do not flat.

As played I'd just get it in on the flop, but it's fine.

I'd personally fold preflop against an UTG raise + button 3bet. UTG in theory should have a really tight range and a 3bet looks strong plus you are out of position.

I think this is a fold. If CO did the original raise and hand is double-suited, maybe it's a different story. But UTG did the original raise, so you have to respect that, and your hand is a single suited Ace with two gaps on the bottom of the rundown part. You're getting dominated by UTG raise and BTN 3-betting range.

PLO Matrix check:
100 bb/micro stakes rake > AsJT7 from the SB against a UTG raise = fold (just to clarify, this is a fold against only a UTG raise, so against UTG raise + BTN 3-bet this is instafold)

at 100 bb/high stakes rake > call (again, this is only against UTG raise, so pretty sure it's fold against BTN 3-bet)

As always, happy to hear if there are any holes in my logic.

Would xr the flop instead of call. We can even make a case for potting instead of check. Only one player is deep enough for us to care about turn action and even then, it will still be super shallow unless it checks through.

Also pre is very standard fold vs a 3! Under almost any circumstance. Maybe if we are short we can think about it.

Meh I don't like this hand to 4bet..I would generally save double suited AQ combos for 4 bet bluffs...

One piece of advice I picked up from watching the upswing PLO bankroll challenge was cold calling 3 bets is generally bad, especially in the sb..
