New here, thanks ahead of time , hope someone can help.
PLO 10

V otb 1000bb : KdQh9s9c opens for pot.

Me sb 100bb : As5sjcjd calls BB folds.

{80c}
flop: Kc8s6s x/pot/call

2.40
turn:Qd x/pot/call

7.20
river:7c x/x

my question is: he seems to be making money here by potting a marginal hand (equities were 50/50 otf), and im trying to come up with a strategy vs
this type player

like ranges to x/rse him otf for instance?

ps: never saw him before but it seems like there is one or two like him every
day, bloating pots w marginals and honestly it does tilt me a bit.

Xc the flop is fine, and x-calling full pot on the turn is less clear (based on what hero perceives as implied odds). There are ways to play back at overagressive opponents but short of raising preflop there really isn't a good reason to on this exact hand. Leading flop is an option but generally checking will be more profitable.

He's the one betting- he doesn't have to have a hand.

I don't know what you're actually thinking, but your post reads like you are assuming he's value betting and not just throwing chips in the pot to see what happens.

This hand is not a good candidate for a three bet pre. in general TPTK plays pretty well as a bet fold in a hu pot on a board where no straight or flush is possible.

yes my experience with these types is that they think they are value betting here and prob wont even fold to a x/rse , i just wonder about Lead out small as a strategy against these guys rather than turnin my hand face-up as a draw most of the time to him

just to say yes I feel that he thinks he is VB ing here, and its hard to be drawing at his price and yet i have 50% OTF . maybe lead out small against people like this?

In fairness you only see these guys for a brief time but it seems like theres a new one or two every day.

if someone is betting very liberally, then semi bluff raises are a good counter to that strategy, although I would probably choose a worse draw than this one.

The adjustment here isn’t really anything too drastic. You just lower the threshold of hand where you want to make the pot big by a few notches. You can apply pressure with a few more draws, and you can look to play for stacks with weaker made hands. I’d avoid flatting hands like this in the sb vs. this type of player though. There aren’t enough flops where you get to c/r and pot the turn, and you’re going to have a hard time realizing your showdown value.

So you want to fold pre? This hand is way too strong to fold vs a steal open.

Okay, first of all thanks to all for for the input, there was all good points.

Ive looked into the ranges here and from the sources that i have ,

vs a 60 % bttn this hand is a 3bet,

so i guess its a matter of whether or not to do it against this type player,
seem hard to fold pre tho and flatting just got me into the trouble as mentioned,

tough game, glad of the support tho,

No, this is too weak. I'm talking hands like naked bottom/middle set, K8 w gs or bdfd ,any K with flush draw, K976,etc. The top of a check calling range.
