I was trapping because I had position and was deep so I just flatted my aces. He check raised me on a dry board and I think I should of called. I'm not 100% sure but i'm kinda upset I folded.
against a gay minraise I would call, it's only 6bb more and you have backdoor stuff and who knows what will happen on the turn, maybe he'll check. also flop would bet only like 4.5bb.
Why are we not pumping it up in position with ss aces preflop? This is a snowball effect where that one error will lead to further errors down the road. You can't trap preflop in PLO unless you're talking about potentially trapping yourself. If you're not 3 betting with aces there what are you ever three betting with from that position!? Must raise.
Flatting pre is fine, you have to continue to the turn vs this sizing tho and evaluate turn and see what he does, also u got 2 outs with huge potential implied odds and can turn a 3 too which is a great card.
3 bet is ok as it might buy u the button. You also have suits and s9me wheel potential which is unlikely to be the nuts but if we can get heads up small rundowns are not likely to be in utgs range.
Flatting is fine as we dont have prem AA, we likely get called behind us, and we have a rather fit or fold hand otf. We likely lose some equity as wheels become suckers the more people who enter the pot but we gain equity with dominated flush draws.
Table dynamics wpuld dictate my play.
As played agreed we have to float. Its a dry flop that we are likely ahead of and there are a lot of improvers on the turn.
