Hi Team,

Hope all is well.

Quick question, what would be a good BRM strategy for PLO cash? Is it your standard 40-50 buys in like holdem or would you go larger?

"The great game"

Cheers

I would take less BI for micro stakes and more BI for plo200 and above. 40-50 BI should be ok from 1c2c up to .5/1

Unless you are experienced player i would not recommend 50 BI.If you are ok with

moving down the stakes after downswing can be ok,but would prefer at least 70 BI,you

can never have to big BR for plo.

More buyins is better once you start hitting a bankroll size that you can't quickly replenish from your own income (if you are comfortable with that) or a limit that you want to stay out for some time.

If you have no problem putting 500 or 1K online at any point, then you can go with 20 buyins and take shots to get out of the micros quicker, knowing that you can reload at any time and its not painful.

I would say playing at limits of $2 to $10 could quickly be replenished / topped up, so you should be secure in keeping 40+ buyins for those limits.

If you are trying to aggressively grow your bankroll, you could imploy the following:
$500 - shot take at $25, moving down if you drop to $300 or $400
$1000 - shot take at $50, moving down if you drop to $600 to $800
$2000 - shot take at $100, moving down if you drop to $1200 to $1600.
$4000 - shot take at $200, moving down if you drop to $2400 to $3200

If your goal to move up in stakes, you have to take some chances, or risk being stuck in the micros for an extended period of time. They key is to be disciplined and move down if you lose. Can even limit it to losing two buyins. If you lose them, drop down.

Once you get to a level that you don't see yourself moving from for a bit, you're going to want to buffer that bankroll to sustain the ups and downs

The above is by no means a blueprint or best practice, just an aggressive strategy to try and maximize bankroll size in a smaller amount of time. Taking your time and moving up slowly is by no means a bad idea, and a very solid one, some people just can't handle the grind.

As mentioned by Purasevic, you can never have too many buyins and you're certainly not going to be upset having 60+ buyins for your bankroll at any given level.
