My question is did I make a mistake checking the turn?
How would you guys play this hand differently?

Yes there is a small chance some one call with 22 and flop boat but against alot of random 5x combo I should be able to value bet the river . Not all river but some of them.
This make me wonder if I make a mistake when checking back turn?

I would do few things differently.
First of I`ll put this ih High stakes plo.
Before the flop i would just call or min raise to give short stack opportunity
to go all in and then we can reopen the action and pot.
Betting half pot on flop is fine,i would b personally bet small on turn and river.

I actually like your preflop line alot. I also see what you mean by betting $125 or $150 on flop make alot of sense.I feel like I'm missing out on some value for not betting on the turn. I also allow 5x combo to get to the river for cheap.
I only have one question, should I go for value on turn and river or should I bet big to try to get random 5x to fold on the turn?
