8 handed app game. 100PLO but deep buyin structure $50-$250.

Hero - $1014 Pretty tight overall. Won a big hand earlier 4 ways with KKQQds all in preflop. Not many showdowns since

V1 - $149 Tighter and straightforward. Starts with $50 and tries to run it up.

V2 - $271 Loose aggressive player. Big loser in the game

OTTH

Straddle UTG by V1, V2 calls, MP raises to $7.50.

Hero calls in SB with 6768

Straddle and V2 calls.

Flop ($39) 652

Hero checks
V1 bets $21.45
V2 calls.
Hero calls.

Thoughts on raising pot here? Surely, I have enough equity vs a made straight and can get stacks in vs weaker sets with a combo draw......

Turn ($103.35) 9

I think a weaker straight here will check behind and being 3 handed giving a free river card to those with two clubs. Also, lots of river cards will kill our action.

2 questions
1. If C/R is the best option on the flop and if so, how much?
2. How much to donk lead the turn?

Nothing to add because you nailed it.

Flop lead is best in a vacuum imo, but if v2 is going to make a lot of bad stabs at it both xr or trap-call are good options.

As played i still think turn lead is good, even bad villains aren't going to get too out of line on this texture. And if villain does have same straight is probably going to raise and let you get it in as equity favorite.

Since turn does not add flush draw you might go for a smaller sizing like half pot.

Stack sizes are a huge factor in turn decision.

V1 has $127 left on the turn, only $24 more than the pot. If he's not an idiot, he won't be calling a substantial bet from you with so little behind.

From player description you can assume he has a strong piece of the board, unlikely to fold here. Naked 43 very unlikely from someone so tight. So he's quite likely to shove over your lead.

Bet half of V1's stack to punish V2 maximally.

On flop you should treat your hand as the nuts

3b pre.

Flop x/r seems best to me, followed by donk. Definitely trying to get money in.

I'd lead turn, not huge. I think checking is less bad here because if CBettor folds, we can still let a stab in, and in this spot most nut straights will bet for you and you can get it in good. Think with donking is that we don't get paid by worse straights a lot, or shouldn't. If they are so wild that they'd always pay multiple streets off, then they'd likely bet too much too.

That said, you still want to charge draws and things like sets or two pairs with straight or straight draws, so I'd bet.
