Did you go for bet fold on flop? If yes check turn. Re-evaluate on the river. It's no point to buil the pot.

Yes, our hand is very weak, I would definitely fold to to virtually any flop raise.

versus players like this I generally don't mind barrelling flush completing turns because they peel too much **** on flops and the main thing that gets them to fold say KK, JT, 89 etc here is a flush completing card. You also have a 9c blocker which makes it better than nothing.

don't think flop bet is terrible versus someone with LP stats, but it's not the best hand because it does'nt give us that many clear turn bets besides the nut outs (which are the reason it's not the worst) - the thing is two pair outs are a bit murky for betting turn and we don't have that many good semi-bluff turns.

however no flop bet is terrible versus LP because they do just peel too much **** like A3Q5, low pairs, low dangler crap that a flop bet is fine, then they c/r very little so you can often get a flop check, check back turn see river and vbet line easily.

the downside to betting flop is you will have to double barrel more turns to justify it and in that situ you really have to know which streets and cards this player gives up on (some never give up on any street once they call once) and whether they just c/c down in a very exploitative way that you can turn into thin value

But if our opponent isn't peeling all sorts of crap, doesn't that make the flop bet better, because it wins immediately at a higher frequency?

against these kind of stats, yes, because he's 46/9. however, it is rare to have an opponent who is 46/9 and doesn't then peel crap. they do exist though and he plays LP pre and TP post then you can pretty much cbet 100%
