Multiway (3 or 4+), how would you play top set when the flop contains three of the same suit?

Say you have AdKcKhQd on a K-5-4sss flop (so you have just top set and no redraw or blockers). Effective stack is $400 (you).

Thanks,
DT

As opposed to what other hand that has what type of redraw on top of the possibility of making a full house?

ooh I guess technically you could have straight flush redraw to go with your nut boat draw

It's 5-card. And I meant other than the FH draw.... :/

Do you pot it, bet less than pot, or check?

As Loctus alluded to, there are far too many undefined variables for anyone to provide a meaningful answer.

Is it a single-raised pot? A 3-bet pot? A 4-bet pot? Is someone short-stacked? What are the relative positions: was it checked to you? are you first to act? is there someone in between? What about your opponents: are they loose? tight? one rec, one reg? And before your followup post, it wasn't clear if you were facing a bet or not.

Anyway, all one can say is that you have a strong hand: one that can be better that non-nut flushes, but that is qualitatively different due to how its equity is distributed. Not knowing anything, I'd just bet my normal c-bet size.

Three or four-way as OP asked about, I would rather check this hand. Chances are someone has a flush and we're still a dog to fill up. In fact, we have only seven immediate outs going into the turn.

I would say in general in multiway pots your hand is protected from bluffs. Even in this situation people are less likely to bluff the NFD blocker since they are that much more likely to be called by flopped flushes.

With that being said, it's a tricky spot, because you want to build a pot the times you make nut boat, you don't want to fold your equity, and you want to keep the pot small vs. flushes/the times you don't make a boat. You have 40% equity vs. a flush, and you are crushing undersets and two pairs that will pay you off when you make a boat. With a high spade blocker I'm betting very aggressively. No blocker is somewhat murkier.

I don't have an answer on what to do, but those are the things I would consider.

op if you want better answers you'll need to be a lot more elaborate in the situations you're describing.
