I've been playing small stakes live for about 10 yrs and I saw a first today at a casino in Fla.

An OMC got stuck $200 and then with the help of a huge fish he ran it up to $1400 over a period of 5 hrs. Of course he ran like god. It really didn't matter what he played for a raise (ex Q724) because when the money went in he either flopped OR rivered the nuts. Second, the fish had horrible bet sizing which gave people odds to call. For example when he would straddle from any position and add a $15 raise into 3-4 players who called his straddle. He'd then make these $15-$20 Cbets on all streets. Very weird.

In any case I felt this was worth mentioning because I never see anyone leave 1/2 live a big winner.

I myself was down $200 after about 8hrs of play. Simply couldn't hit a flop to save my life. 7 yrs of negative board distribution continues.

Doesn’t sound like an OMC. In 10 years you’ve never seen a stack over 1400 at 1-2? That seems low to me

Oh no I've seen $2k-$3k stacks but those were usually "I'm even" stacks. This guy was UP over $1k. I can't remember ever seeing that.

I don't even know what universe this is anymore. Like the only way live plo seems viable is that a stupid amount of the time I leave up 500bb+. Are people not regularly stacking off 300bb with 10-30% equity in your games?

I saw someone in a 2/2 plo game run like god and run it up to $14k+ ... only once. So that's similar, I guess.
