I've been lamenting the death of the digest tradition, and decided I'd give it one more shot in a different format. Here's the plan:

The OP of this thread will contain all the links to the must-read posts/threads over the years. This includes general strategy, popular milestone posts, wells - and obviously the previous digests.

If you can think of a post or thread that is worthy of being linked to in this thread, post a link and brief description here. It needs to get at least two "seconds" to be added ("+1" -posts) as a link in the OP.

Mods obv reserve the right to veto, and may add links on their own.

aight, since we already crossed over to HSPLO with CW's 500th, I figured we can tap into all of 2+2 for quality PLO content.

My first thought was to add Doorbread's "Getting my Groove Back", one of my all-time favorites

Also a milestone post from PG&C wrt transferring over from NLHE

wp, it's gonna be a while before it's "finished", a process

Also, everyone keep in mind that we really need all suggestions, there's no way me and Napsus will remember every milestone/article out there.

Don't hesitate to suggest ur own stuff, if it's not yet added, we most likely just haven't thought of it.

I remember reading somewhere and people were questioning how accurate the All-In EV line was. Is it possible that there is something inaccurate in the algorithm or is it certain that this guy really ran that bad over that large of a sample? This makes me want to quit poker.

All-In EV as implemented in soft is only very slightly inaccurate because trackers can't assign dead hand ranges to those who have folded and think that dead cards are totally random. For all practical purposes, AIEV is the best known approximation to the true EV, removing a chunk of the luck factor (but not the bulk of it) but saving all strategy effects.

Mig is certainly a very unlucky man, though I'm sure he found the right way out of it and is now way stronger in real life than pre-poker. Misluck is useful too.

If you believe you can improve enough to be winning, don't quit poker till the last blood drop, i.e. till you have 6-month expenses in the pocket. It has a lot of life toughness lessons to teach you.

Quasar30: Calling a 4-bet preflop in PLO

This is also covered in bugz' book, "PLO from scratch". But I find it hard to decide whose treatment is better.

This guy didn't run that bad. I'm not sure what is a typical standard deviation of the difference between all-in EV and winnings (does anyone have any data on this?), but assuming it's 100bb/100 (which I think is a reasonable guess), then this guy is 3 standard deviations below the mean. Which means that one out of 700 PLO players will experience such runbad for a one-million hand sample.
