My year to date:
Not including -20k or so live and -50k in January, putting me on what is I think one of my longest break even stretches ever. Including stakes I'm just barely in the black for the year.
It's also worth noting that I've ran about +20k on allin pots over this graph too, which is kind of depressing.
I feel like I'm really playing some of the worst poker of my life the last little while... I've normally prided myself on really dealing with variance well, but this last stretch has been really ugly. I'm starting to develop a tilt problem, something that I haven't seen in years, and I'm doing things like auto-calling rivers out of frustration with obviously second-best hands.
I'm back playing mostly 5-10 at the moment, which is hard since I'm still very comfortably rolled (by my own obscene standards) to play 10-20, and could easily be taking shots at 25-50, I just don't have very much confidence in my game at the moment. I want to start focusing on getting back to the basics and just letting the opposition make their mistakes, but it's hard.
It's uplifting, though, that over my last 140k hands at 5-10 and above, I've still run at 5PTBB/100, and that stretch has included two breakeven stretches approaching 40k hands, which is sort of ridiculous.
It's during times like this that it's really helpful to go back through old databases and look at all my other bad stretches, to put things in perspective.
