Not sure what the preflop action was but I would not recommend playing this hand unless you are in the BB and have your check option open. Not so great suit, very disconnected cards, the hand will only get you into trouble.

Flop is whatever you have the nuts no problem with GII, unlucky he got his full house OTR.

Thanks. I seem to have the bad habit of catching high straight at flop, raise to max, then losing to flush or full house.

probably cause you play very weak hands preflop + you post hand histories not talking about # of players at table, position , stack sizes , manually typing it instead of from a hand history copy paste etc

Call flop. You can then get away from some turns and take down the flop with bluffs on others. In actual hand - villain with a set would have had a decision to make when you shoved on turn - he might even have folded..

Fold pre.

As played I do what you did. Just ship it in with the nuts.

For the future:

- if you are in this spot multiway you can check or call on the flop since it's likely you are against at least one flush draw. This minimizes variance but decreases value of course if they miss and just fold. Headsup just jam it in there and charge the draws

Thank you! This was multi - 3 way. I figured one player was same or weaker straight then me and knew the other player was probably going for the full house. Thought I could drive him out by betting it up on the flop, but it seems in micro people just hang on until the river comes. Sometimes I'll just take a shot at it pre- to mix things up and this one hit with bad results.

HH is confusing but it looks fine/well played, lots to protect against and I don't see any benefit to calling and seeing a turn card.

I would have thought by taking this line to minimize variance we maximize mistake making and lose out on value from the times they check back when they would have called/raised, especially multiway? Any K, J, Q, T, 9 or H and we're way ahead/splitting/dead.
