This has been happening to me a lot as well. Getting money in good then getting drawn out. I figured I am probably just playing too low of value hands but playing NL so much it's hard to get used to these suckouts in PLO.

Most notably I flop a house then a hand with KK or AA will often draw out on me after the money is in.

Yeah that is the nature of the game. I just look at it like equities run closer, which means more variance but also more potential. By more potential I figure even an average PLO player can have a lot more success than the equivalent average NL player.

For me the most helpful way to go about learning has been putting in volume and reviewing hands. Not that I have made notable progress so far but I enjoy it nonetheless. Gl!

I think it depends the player. If its a more fishy guy who thinks a straight is good and over plays non nut hands then raising is fine but against a reg ya its a spew. Cause hes not calling the river raise with worst boats very often.
