Can anyone share the rake structure on pokerstars PLO? I know its ridiculous I started playing PLO5 and feel I have an edge over the field, small volume currently on a BR build where i've paid 8 buy-ins in rake after 8k hands. I played PLO10, 25, and 50 couple years ago before studying and I felt like it wasn't tough ... How much harder are higher limits really and rake? Does it make more sense to just bite the bullet and try building a roll from higher stakes the first time? Tried other sites but issues with withdrawal and money dies on the site..

Rake gets lower in general as you go higher in stakes. A typical rake structure is x% until you hit a cap. You figure out what the pot size needs to be based off the math and anything after that is not raked.

I don't know stars specific rake structure but for example, a 5% rake capped at $3. Anything in the pot stops getting raked when the pots has more than $60 in it. By this example, anything where the pot is $60 or below is being raked at 5% and the percentage goes down as the average pot is larger than $60. For a plo2k game rake is hardly a thought in play because you hit the rake cap in your opening, while in plo10 your basically paying a straight 5% rake as you will have few and far between pots where it's more than $60.

That being said, I wouldn't be playing plo200 to pay less rake if I can't beat the game. Paying marginally less (8-10bb/100) in rake doesn't matter if you are going to lose significant sums of money in the game.
