Against "little loose postflop" I would generally be happy about getting this in, just look at all the draws. You're probably not crushing him by any means, but three ways could mean the other guy has some of his outs, and if you're set overset, oh well. I think it's pretty standard against a loose postflop player.

looks like a really standard jack + ace kicker bet on the river to me. or even a full. either way youre beat.

Bet more on every street. Other than that, its super standard. People at 25 plo don't bluff enough.

I like potting the turn, what do you guys think is the best size there?

I'm no expert on tourneys but I imagine you should fold to the re-raise pre-flop... finally the words "wait for a better spot" have a useful application!

Villain was 85/4, over a tiny sample (28 hands). Looked like a calling station. I put him on two pair or a set.

Did I play this too weakly on the flop and turn? On a rainbow flop I would have happily re-potted. On the turn, I still had a ton of outs and hoped to improve. I also felt there was a check-raise possibility. Given the rest of the hand, the river is a clear fold, I think.

This looks fine. If he is a station as you think he is, wait for a spot to just value bet him to death, especially if he is 85/4.

Its a flop that misses us almost completely, and should hit villain square in the face. Even though he has only 1/2 pot left is it still that easy of a shove? I can think of better ways to burn $100...

I'd just ship flop but since you flatted the rest of it is fine.

This is fine as long as you feel comfortable check shoving/getting all-in when you hit whatever boat or flush comes imo. (i.e. you think villain will turn his hand into a bluff if you check to him on the turn or river) Otherwise, there is little extra value by giving up your small edge on the flopso you should probably just take the edge now.

Why would check when you hit and hope villain turns his hand into a bluff? He'll check behind way too often. You have to value bet when you hit.
