Thanks. My PLO hand reading/range assignmet pretty much sucks, since it's largely based on my experience with holdem. It would be standard to think someone has a worse overpair alot here in holdem, and not a hand like he actually had. After doing the calculations, I see he was not making a bad call preflop.

I think betting is superior to check calling, because trips are afraid of a boat but still call bets, but never bet themselves.

Folding to his raise though, it seems unlikely that he is ahead of you given his line, but thats the reason i would fold the river.

I think I have to start folding for meta-game sometimes since they know I always call (and they always have it)

anybody just cbet/fold? or is that bad?

all I was thinking is he would raise T6 on turn, especially with the smaller size and I had been cbetting and barreling him several times before.
didn't even put TT in there which was bad since these guys peel with anything. oh well, live and learn

cbet/fold isnt bad, but you might give away equity, people never fold FDs.
I think checking flop is fine. Turn is fine as well, maybe c/r but you gotta be sure BTN bets.

River is a bet/fold or a check/fold, never a check/call in my book, maybe to a small bet with some history involving those bluffs, but really, who bluffs there? Busted hearts maybe, but he can get a better price on his bluffs by betting less and he should know that as a thinking player.

Yeah would be my thinking as well and in a rational world and at higher games and vs thinking players, you have to call, but against those fish your reasoning is almost never right, because they cant think properly.

well the Jack of spades coming meant there was only 1 spade draw he could reasonably have, (nfd) which I figured he'd bet the flop with given it's usually coordinated somewhat with that KQ since he's tight.

I was putting him on some kind of low picked up draw on turn since he seemed disinterested in the flop, hence my check call on river. although seeing his type of hand now it's obv why he checked flop

I gotta look at my HEM rivers OOP I c/c way too much, and then barrel air too and expect folds lol

I think he can have lower spades in his range, calling the turn with some other draw as well.
