Obviously raise the flop isn't bad, but you have SO many nut outs & chances to freeroll on the turn when you hit that this line is way better imo.

If villain was v. aggro I'd raise flop because we can probably get it in for value against top set here.

Not standard. Need reads that villain is stacking off top pair + kicker draws with backdoor draws before you stack on this flop. You are screwed versus a set without even any kind of backdoor draws. Would be better if you could discount KKxx (due to preflop 3-betting) and if he habitually plays low card runs like A234, 6543 etc.

What do you think of my river c/r here? I had a lot of history with villain. We started two tables with him on my right. I'd 3bet him quite a few times and we've played quite a few pots together. He's playing a 29/16 with a 1.17 AF. I thought a lot of his range would consist of garbage straight/flush draws. Am I not repping much?

Nah. I'd flat. You can't really expect him to get it in with anything other than the same hand when he's passive and since you don't have re-draws you're putting in over 100bbs for a chop. When you flat you can also *potentially* get him to fold on later streets which is sexy but the right cards have to fall obviously.

You play 50PLO HU lately? I see people show up with the worse straight/a set/2 pair here all the time. Only flat that flop if you hate money.

I play the same, but if he's donking as wide as it looks like he is from the two hands, raising the turn in hand two is fine.

Raise the turn in 2nd hand if you want him to stop donking flops. If you don't mind because you feel he is otherwise weak, doesn't matter so much.

What were you doing in the first one? You have the best hand really often but worse can't really call.

So you think I should have just tried to check it down or what? I figured with less than a PSB remaining he might hero call with AAxx or AAQx I guess.. its just difficult because like you know he has AAxx and odds are he doesn't have hearts as well, but blah he had them this time. Its just like, I hit my card but its tainted and I'm stuck between value betting what's likely the best hand with a SPR under 1 so he MIGHT call with some hands I have squished like bare AA or broadway wraps or trying to check the hand down.

I am raising the flop there 100% of the time tbh.

I considered that but I thought I'd get more FE out of dry aces with a scary turn than jamming the flop straight away. It's a coinflip against bare AA and he might just take that flip on the flop... figured this time I could use my position and get more FE on scary turns.

Your hand is a flip vs aces, but that's the bottom of your range I'd say, so he would make a mistake.

Flop is a must raise imo.
