Gonna try to post some things here that don't tie into more general concepts.

On this river, I just don't beat enough to call, right?

            BTN ($25) [VPIP: 78% | PFR: 32% | AGG: 27.2% | 3-Bet: 20% | Hands: 50]
            CO ($81.17) [VPIP: 80% | PFR: 20% | AGG: 35.8% | 3-Bet: 0% | Hands: 46]

            Dealt to Hero: 7 A Q 7

CO Calls $0.25, BTN Raises To $1.10, SB Folds, HERO Calls $0.85, CO Calls $0.85

Hero SPR on Flop: [7.03 effective]
            Flop ($3.40): 6 T 7
HERO Checks, CO Checks, BTN Checks

Villains' specific flop stats led me to believe one of them was likely to bet. But it's not like we have the nuts here anyway, so I'm happy to take a free 6, T, or 7 if I can.

            Turn ($3.40): 6 T 7 9
HERO Bets $1.70 (Rem. Stack: 70.79), CO Calls $1.70 (Rem. Stack: 78.37), BTN Calls $1.70 (Rem. Stack: 22.2)

Really not my favorite turn card, but the fact that nobody bet the flop makes straights less likely, so I went ahead and bet.

            River ($8.50): 6 T 7 9 9
HERO Bets $4 (Rem. Stack: 66.79), CO Raises To $20.50 (Rem. Stack: 57.87), BTN Folds, HERO Folds

            CO wins: $15.68

I thought a super long time about this fold. But I just felt like I only beat 66 or MAYBE (super unlikely) an overzealous trip 9s hand, which is all a pretty small part of how I can hope to range CO.

Think we should fold AQ77 pre, we do have some nut potential but unlike a typical blind defense we are not closing the action and our hand is so disconnected. But not really a big deal and probably close to break even anyway.

On the flop I wouldn't hate a lead here. We can't really c/r imo and I'm not too happy about c/c because I don't want to just give free cards ad infinitum. I think like a 1/3rd lead here has some potential, we can bet small because it is a pretty dry / lockdown board.

I like the river bet fold.

I vote check jam; let's maximize our (relative) positional advantage. Even if PFR checks back the other guy could still stab. Lead is fine too LDO.

Fold pre. Gotta play tight from the SB.

played this hand in yesterday's session at the casino. game was 1/3 (min 100 - max 300 buyin, most buyin for 100-150). This is one of those games where you will see flops 4+ handed very regularly, and the population cold-calls 3bets preflop with pretty much the same range as they would call a single raise pre. Given this super loose preflop dynamic I pretty much have a 1% 3b range from the SB (I'm talking almost exclusively AA-ds with connected side-cards). Villain this hand starts with $450~, Hero covers.

Preflop: MP limps, Villain in CO raises to $13, BTN calls, Hero calls from SB with AdAsQd4c, BB and MP call.

            Flop: Kd Jc 4s ($65)

Checks to Villain who bets $20, BTN fold, Hero calls, rest fold.

Turn: Kd Jc 4s Td ($105)

Hero checks, Villain bets $55, Hero calls.

            River: Kd Jc 4s Td 4h ($215)

Hero checks, Villain bets $125. Hero calls.

Flop and turn seem like mandatory calls given villain's sizing. I think I'm usually beat on this river since live players are barrelling 3 streets in MW pots without near nuts but getting some very good odds on river with top trips. Is blocking broadway enough to make it a call?

My general philosophy as pfr is to

            1. Check complete air.
            2. Bet draws with no showdown value.
            3. Check draws with showdown value.
            4. Bet strong hands and strong draws that don't mind getting raised.
            5. Occasionally check the nuts.

            Does that seem reasonable?

A hand I have questions about:

            I open Q866ss otb in a 3 Handed game.

            SB and BB call.

Flop Q97r. Checked to me and I check.

Turn T. SB bets pot. Folds to me, I call.

River A. SB pots. I decide to fold.

I wonder if this plays better as a flop bet?

            PokerStars, Omaha Pot Limit - $0.02/$0.05 ($0.01 ante) - 6 players
Replay this hand on Upswing Poker

            UTG: $17.66 (353 bb)
            MP: $20.43 (409 bb)
            CO: $4.68 (94 bb)
            BU (Hero): $7.53 (151 bb)
            SB: $6.17 (123 bb)
            BB: $3.57 (71 bb)

            Pre-Flop: ($0.13) Hero is BTN with 3 4 2 6
1 fold, MP calls $0.05, CO calls $0.05, Hero calls $0.05, SB raises to $0.36, BB calls $0.31, MP calls $0.31, CO calls $0.31, Hero calls $0.31

            Flop: ($1.86) 8 2 3 (5 players)
SB bets $0.90, BB folds, MP calls $0.90, CO calls $0.90, Hero raises to $6.29

Game has been quite loose, many players limping etc.

Preflop, I don't see much to be gained from raising. No one is folding, it does well in limped and single-raised pots, I like cheap flops in position, and I don't wanna play a big 3bet pot with 6 high.

On the flop, it looks like a push/fold spot.

            Some thoughts.
            1) If I call, I have to dodge more than half the deck to be happy with any turn.
            2) It's very hard to realize my equity multiway.
            3) Given action, 88 is almost never out.
            4) SB betsizing is small-ish, so the hands that are calling might be weak and might fold to a jam.
            5) I'm probably 50/50 to 60/40 against original bettor (unless he has like 8xxx:hh with flush draw)
            6) They might all fold.

            Looks alright?

            Live 2/3, $5 bring-in.

            AJ76hh OTB
            3 limps, I overlimp, BB raises to 35, 2 limp-calls, I call
            4 ways to the flop

            Flop (150): J84hh
BB PFR checks, LAGfish (700) in UTG bets 125, folds to Hero
            Hero re-pot to 500?

Reasonable GII spot with NFD, GS and blocking TP? I’m 44% against sets and J8. On this flop, I figure I should be jamming all sets, J8 for value and NFD/OESDs as semi-bluffs.
