Preflop is standard.

Flop cbet any good? Thin out the field (that was the plan anyway), but then we're in this weird spot where we sort of have to just call (do we?), and call again (do we?).

Felt like I activated their trap card.

That deep is really tough I think 100bbs this is an auto GII with the gutter and backdoor hearts but 3 ways and for that deep it just feels like spew

The backshove is friggin weird

Only thing I can think of is like absolute monster like QQ+NFD

The more i think about it the more I think the flop bet is a mistake

But if he has the absolute monster, what does UTG ship with? In the hand, when UTG shipped it i thought, "well ****, that's top set init?"

In hindsight I also thought the bet was a mistake, but can we just check it through? Allow JJT8 to pick up a set or a draw? Let 3578 make a straight if a 6s rolls off?

Thank you for your input, greatly appreciated!

yeah I was about to say that betting flop was probably the best option, but the more I think about it i feel indifferent between a bet and passive continue. when we bet flop, what categories of hands are we targeting in villain(s) ranges? we could get them to fold, but we could also narrow their ranges dramatically to the super-strong stuff.

that said, i think the flop bet is a good option but only if our intention is to fold to a re-raise/cautiously revaluate turn if called.

that backshove is really weird, yeah. i think youv gotta fold flop after they raise you.

we have 4 outs in the 5, minus 1 (4 clubs) but these outs are to the low straight
we have 2 outs in the A, minus 1 (A clubs)
we have 2 outs in the 4, minus 1 (clubs) but even if we caught the set of fours the board pairing is dangerous

all together we have 5 outs, but none of them are great (gotta fold it dude)

Go with 1/2 pot on the flop. Get it in with either/both of the 100bb guys, but fold if it gets jammed and the 300bb guy is still in the hand.
