Sure. Essentially, when you raise here, you either (a) force out hands that have a lot of equity versus you, or (b) are most often getting called by combo draws (straight and flush draws, likely also holding top pair).
Scenario (a) is awesome, no explanation needed.
Scenario (b) is good because you block villain's straight and flush outs, so you want to pile in money here when they are more disadvantaged than when you just have AJ. Additionally, you have outs to improve when SB also has AJ. Finally, since you are in position, there are a large number of river cards you can still bluff at, esp holding the Qh.
