BTN loose/passiv calling station
BB unknow guy
My considaration here:
If UTG has some of my outs, maybe another Aces, calling preflop is no option anymore in this spot. The only way, I can play this hand is
5 bet and get it, right?
It is a loose table, guys are calling with any four cards, if one or two guys behind me are calling, becuase they put me and UTG-Villian on Aces, I will be drawing very thin here. My equity is not great multiway, because I put UTG on a very strong hand AAxx or AKQxds

not deep enough and hand too strong for considering folding. UTG can still try to re-iso here with hands he doesn’t want to go multi-way or has A blockers and the others, even if loosygoosy will still fold often to an all in with only 11bb in

easy five bet. the loose guys are only in for a single raise, they will almost always be folding. Even against aces and a rundown we are either a very slight dog or a or a modest favourite. Against any random aces we have a 5% edge.

I was thinking, if the UTG guy has Aces too, what equtity we have against a possible 3 way allin preflop?
Actually after the hand I was wrong..but I made my decission and I can sleep at night..

You don’t just have aces. You have a suited ace and another pocket pair. And you have $30 dead in the middle. And you have a 3 bet sizing that could easily make UTG look down at AQQ9, decide you’re screwing around and 4 bet.

Folding to the 4 bet is pretty bad. Even against a range that consists solely of the last two aces and two random side cards, you’re a slight equity favorite. Once you get to a 4% 4 bet, you’re like 63-64% HU against that guy.

Getting all in 3w against another aaxx hand and a rundown is not that big a deal in many situations either - you might end up having 25% equity, which is both a small ev loss and mostly unavoidable.

There are spots where we can think about folding aaxx preflop but we need to meet some very specific conditions first.

That's what we call loser's tilt. Maybe you should have taken some time off before getting back into the game. Also, you are possibly underrolled for your stakes if you are folding AA99ss "that" deep.

It is an interesting post and if you think about it beyond "5 bet don't fold" there are a few thoughts that flow from it.

How bad does an AAxx hand have to be before you fold out pre? AA96 rainbow OP in a multiway pot with action that suggests you are counterfeited seems an easy fold but suit up one of those Aces?

How do you get a balanced 4/5 bet range in PLO?

At this stack size it has to be not AA. More likely the very worst ones I don't 3bet, so any AA that I get to this spot with just keeps piling money in.

There is a very big difference with the other hand you refer to. Here you are essentially all in preflop and cannot be put in a place where the implied odds are against you. The big pot you lost you got 40bb in preflop and lost 200bb more when he hit the flop. 2255 was an "interesting" hand to call 40bb but after all he called $80 and had a $1000 pot to win and pays nothing more unless he hits.
