PLO200 Online 6-max

100BB Effective

Villain is a very good regular, also players higher. Hero is probably viewed as a non reg as I only take shots when the game is good.

UTG+1 Villain opens pot
Folds to Hero in the BB who calls with: As 4s 4c Kd

Flop: Qd 8d 4d

Hero flops bottom set and Kd blocker.

Villain bets 2/3rds pot. Hero calls.

Turn: Qd 8d 4d Ac

Villain continues and bets 2/3rds pot. Hero...

With 3 diamonds on board and an A on turn, I think you hold some pretty relevant blockers with the K and Ace in hand.

Not folding, I guess the question is do you turn your hand into a bluff on the river if he barrels again and do you go to showdown if he checks?

What would be a credible or effective bluff holding the Kd?

Raise turn, bet river? Check raise river?

If the the villain holds the Ad I assume he's betting every street. Just call down?

Sorry man I'm not really sure, I just got back into studying the game again and I thought this was a really interesting spot to think about given our hand strength and what I think are pretty relevant blockers in the hand.

I think we don't achieve much raising turn, if he shoves or calls we're in a really bad spot, but I also think if you do ever raise with a king high flush on turn in some spots, you would want to hold an ace, so this would be one of those perfect hands to put in that range cause you also have equity in the pot if he does come over the top.

My question "do we turn our hand into a bluff if he barrels river" was dumb cause this is also to me a perfect hand to call down with, but not to check back on the river with if that makes sense (since he will probably be turn barreling some sets)

Probably none of this makes sense, but I think I came to the conclusion that you can't really do anything wrong or get too out of line with this hand other than by folding, lol.

turning this into a bluff doesn't make much sense especially ott where our hand is still very high up in our overall range

I think you can have xc, xr, bet and xc, xc, xrai lines here in theory but in practice it's very hard to balance effectively.
I think it's best though to stick to Ad for bluffing hands no matter which line you take because Ad is gonna block a lot more of V's flushes from UTG than Kd (right?).
