given that you have ten high spades as well a turn bet probably wouldn't be awful but I am fine with checking. Chances are decent that someone has QJ.

Someone has QJ > 40% on the turn, and J8 or 86 >50% on the river. So a river bet is out of the question, really.

On the turn, the trade-offs of betting are the positives of snaring an additional bet against stuff like 2pr+GS and FD+GS, and the negatives of exposing yourself to worst-case scenario of putting in $28+ as a 36-64 dog against a single QJxx (not as bad as it looks due to implied odds against the deeper stacks, but meh). Much of the rest -- like when multiple people have QJxx or strong hands worth stacking off -- plays out similarly whether you bet or check.

If everyone plays logically, then defaulting to never betting with four people left to act in this particular spot makes sense, because it's pretty messy OOP. But if you can expect plenty of bad or passive play (fair assumption with stack sizes), definitely bet, and I'd much rather lead out with this than bare QJxx.

This is a fold pre unless the players are noteworthy bad. Turn is close because if you bet, you would have to call. Also, if you bet turn you have to shut down most rivers unless you boat up.
