PLO100 6-max Online
100BB Effective
MP Hero: 5s 7s 7h 5c limps (I limped b/c there was a rec on the BTN and I didn't want the blinds to squeeze, thereby giving me poor relative position in an bloated pot, thoughts?)
BTN Min raises (rec player, wide range)
Villain in BB who is a good regular, 3bets pot.
Hero cold calls <---- What do you think about cold calling double pairs in bad relative position
BTN calls.
Flop: 3s 6c 9h
Villain bets pot
Hero calls <--- Not sure about this putting villain on a tight range. It's safe to assume I have close to 0% Fold Equity.
There is still a loose rec player behind me who could have anything.
Is it better to fold? Raise to isolate against BB strong range, or Call to invite the rec BTN in?

Your limp is good. We don't want to get 3b with this type of hand. After button raises, it's a call, but with the BB 3b it's a fold, esp. given the button can potentially 4bet.
Assuming BB called, and you called, and the flop is 3ways:
Definitely fold flop. You have a double gutter, which is not a profitable drawing hand to a pot bet in PLO

Limp calling an open doesn't seem like the worst play with this type of hand, but definitely folding after the 3bet.

I get your reasoning on limping pre but don't know that it's best despite what you're saying. This hand is happy to pick up the blinds with a raise because it flops poorly most of the time. I would also think that limping this kind of hand makes you susceptible to a lot of set over set situations where BTN, SB, BB can all overlimp a bunch of hands with 88-JJ in them.
I'd fold to the 3b pre unless BTN is spewing or a whale.
Pot sized flop cbet from presumably a thinking player is pretty scary on this board texture, he should expect random pocket pairs in both Hero and BTN ranges. Would fold, especially when not closing action.

Gotta fold on the flop IMO, although its sexy to try and bust a monster as previous posters have said your draw is just not strong enough IMO.

you don't want a ton of hands in the pot with you in the long haul picture
